the beltway, 695 at providence road from parkville into towson no problems on the outer loop. inner loop lanes clear between 83 and i-95. we have a water main break problem through towson southbound york road closed at fairmont. two-way traffic gets back alternating in the northbound lanes. now back to you. >> thanks. it's a official, a medical examiner determined phylicia barnes was murdered but police are keeping quiet about how she died. linda so joins us with the latest developments on the investigation. linda. >> reporter: well, they ruled her death a homicide but police are not getting into the details. they say they won't release how she died because they don't want to compromise the investigation. phylicia barnes disappeared last december while visiting her sister. her body was discovered two weeks ago near the conowingo dam in the susquehanna. a man's body was found nearby but police don't think the two are connected. police have yet to make an

arrest in phylicia's death. no suspects have been named during the four-month investigation. the 16-year-old was a star athlete and honor student getting ready to go to towson university. her brother says he believed all along that someone killed his sister. >> every body is a suspect to me. whoever came in contact with her, everybody who lives in the area, everybody who travels in the area, it could be anybody. >> reporter: now funeral services for phylicia have been set. a private service will be held on saturday in georgia at springfield baptist church. you can watch it online. here in baltimore a memorial service will be next saturday on may 14th at mount pleasant church. linda so, a beech c -- abc2 news. twin browse brothers will wait until july to stand trial for the second time. after mistrial travers and tremayne were expected to go on

trial yesterday. they doused a dog with gasoline and set her on fire. the two are charged with animal cruelty. since the injuries, they were so severe, the dog nicknamed phoenix was put down. retail cash -- the retrial was delayed because the defense attorney is busy with another trial. if you are traveling around the area 10 inch water main break happened yesterday afternoon affecting 15 businesses along the carver center for the arts and technology in the area. right now, both southbound lanes are closed so crews are using one lane for the northbound lanes for southbound traffic. no word on how fast crews can fix that water main break and reopen all the lanes. #:34. -- 4:34. president obama heads to new york city this morning to meet with 9/11 victims family members. after the death of osama bin laden. yesterday, the president announced he will not release

the photos of bin laden's body. emily schmidt tells us the president said that is not what we do. >> reporter: president obama's visit to ground zero today will mark the death of osama bin laden and his pakistani compound in a way the president has decided no picture of bin laden's body will. mr. obama told 60 minutes he will not release those photos. >> it's important for us to make sure that very graphic photos of somebody who was shot in the head are not floating around as an insightment to additional violence. >> reporter: the white house says decision matched the opinions of robert gates and hillary clinton. even though earlier in the week, cia director leon pinetta predicted a release to silence critics. >> i think we have to reveal to the rest of the world the fact that we were able to get him and kill him. >> reporter: reuters news

propaganda tool. it's 4:45. she was murdered, the autopsy results on the body of phylicia barnes determined someone killed her. maryland state police are not saying how she died and who is behind the killing fearing it will jeopardize the investigation. the north carolina teen was visiting her sister in northwest baltimore when she disappeared in late december. two weeks ago her body was found near the conowingo dam. over 50 miles from the city. a man's body was found about 4 miles away in the same river but police believe there's no connection between the two. phylicia barnes brother is not surprised by the news of her murder. >> it's a little bit of closure there. i really pray the police can use whatever evidence they found on her body or around it or whatever the case may be to find out what happened and who took part in it. >> during the investigation, no suspects have been named. investigators are not saying how close they are to an arrest. stacks of bags containing

arundel mills mall will not open before the end of the year as previously planned. according to the baltimore son, the cordish company says that's because of legal opposition. now the plan is to open it in stages but not until the beginning of next jube. the decision could cost the state-- june. the decision could cost the state an estimated $70 million. he is only 15 years old and already a hero. yesterday, baltimore county honored charles knisley the third with a hero pin for helping his grandmother and younger brother escape from a burning home on dorsey avenue in essex last month. >> i yelled for my grandparents to get from upstayed and my grand pop ran down the steps and by the time he came back up he went down in the basement and came back up and it went up and it's to get my brother and grandma out. my brother jumped off the roof and i caught him. >> when fire crews arrived on the scene, the home was completely on fire. officials say without charlie's

quick actions, the fire could have been deadly. as prices continue to rise, the demand for gas is falling. government and industry groups say motorists are cutting back on gas they are putting in the cars. that could show signs of trouble for the ecomony because americans cut other items before they cut back on driving. as for the price at pump, the price for a gallon of regular gas in the baltimore area is now 3.97 up 34 cents in a month. nationally, the average is 3.98, up 32 cents in month, 13 states plus washington, d.c. now have averages of over $4 a gallon. with hawaii being the most expensive. get this, they are paying $4.56 a gallon this. -- there. some of those who own gas stations are fighting to bring prices down. owners are suing bp claiming that the oil giant is forcing them to buy gas when prices are high, driving up the rate you pay at the pump.

we have ourselves clouds early to give way to sunshine but frosty conditions towards the west. more below normal temperatures i checked out the global temperatures. half a degree cooler than this time a year ago. the planet has cooled down half a degree in a year. just thought that was worth mentioning. future radar highlighting the fact we have a look at some increasing clouds tomorrow after we wind up with a sunny afternoon today. tomorrow's going to turn out to be a cloudy afternoon with showers holding off until the evening hours. but then they will push through and i think they will get out by early saturday morning. saturday looks good, and mother's day, a bit of a question mark. for today, let's focus on early clouds giving way to sunny afternoon. 67 a mild day a nice pleasant day to a cool night back down into the 40s. low 40s indeed. and a chunk of that chilly air is the one that swings our way and tomorrow the clouds thicken up in the afternoon. and we will go for evening showers with a high of 72. more on the mother's day weekend forecast in the next half-hour. kim. >> reporter: justin, if you are headed south of baltimore, you

now "good morning maryland" at 4:30. a major fire destroyed a six-story condo projects it took fire crews wednesday morning to get the fire under control. fire started tuesday night. you can see the smoke and flames pouring out of the complex. the fire was hard to complain because the condos were made of wood. the cause of the fire is under investigation. it seems the donald keeps finding-- it seems the donald keeps finding controversy but now it's for being named a pace car driver. racing fans are annoyed with the decision that donald trump would be leading the field to the start of the race. one fan in particular started a facebook page called we don't want donald trump to drive the indy 500 pace car. the page went from 30 people to
