across the street when it attacked a neighbor. cheryl with the owner has had her own story of heart break. >> reporter: on one side there's an elderly woman who lived there half her life. on the other side of the street the new owners. blood is left on the sidewalk in front of an elderly's house. the family of the 80-year-old says she may never return to her greek town home. her lower lip was ripped off and she broke several bones. a pitbull ran across the street when she was out getting her mail. >> it was not on a leash, it ran across the street and dragged her down to the sidewalk. >> reporter: the dog's owner showed us this picture of blue. she says she's sorry for the attack and her dog most likely felt threatened.

>> she startled him and he jumped on her. he was smacking at him and hit him. >> she says she ran to help the woman before she was rushed to the hospital. blue typically staying inside. >> normally he's in the house on the chain. >> reporter: on friday evening, she says he was on the porch, unleashed with their son. police say she will be fined and have to pay the woman's medical bills, she says that the elderly woman is her main concern. he -- she is lost to losing loved ones, she escaped a fire that killed 9 relatives including her three sons and then in january, she lost her mom and three relatives in a fire and now she takes full responsibility for her dog attacking the woman she hasn't

met. >> my prayers are with her. i'm hoping that she is okay and i would like to see her. >> the dog was taken by animal control. it will remain in quarantine for ten days at that point there will be a hearing to determine if the dog should be euthanized or returned to the owner. fire investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire to break out. firefighters arrived after 11:00 and found heavy fire in the house. two alarms were called. authorities say that the building was empty. three other buildings were damaged. rescuers looking for a swimmer they believe went missing at the reservoir. the search was called off because it was getting dark. they were swimming when he went under and never came back. starting tomorrow, your commute to and from work could

mild and pleasant. now to the latest in the murder trial of casey anthony. testimony picks up in the morning, right now we're hearing experts present scientific evidence like microscopic details on hair. they're proving that anthony kill her two-year-old daughter caylee. >> reporter: new evidence in the casey anthony murder trial. csi experts are taking the stand. the packages, photos and canisters have replaced the emotional video that captivated the courtroom. at issue now? a single strand of what is believed to be caylee anthony's hair recovered from the trunk of the car. >> no tissue was present and it was 9-inches long.

risk in women that are at high risk of developing it. it gives them a reduction in the risk of getting breast cancer. this are two drugs on the market but both have lethal side effects from blood canner to clots to strokes. more african women in our city will die from breast cancer than anywhere else in the state. word got out about getting mammograms. good morning. >> it's the 2011 gift for life block walk. >> we go into the community and ask women information about breast health and knowledge. >> we're doing breast awareness

things to promote is the fact that we have to start talking for our own health. breast cancer is bigger than it is, people don't think, but it's a big issue. >> they give breast cancer a face. >> they get a good response. the ladies are receptive. people looking for hope and seeing me gives them hope. >> i know absolutely i'm making a big difference. >> some clouds out there earlier today, things have cleared up nicely across the state. people enjoying high top of federal hill. winds northeast at 5 and the humidity has come down a bit, that's good. just a slight chance of a shower. for the most part, we'll sit pretty out there.
