now. megan. >> news time is 5:31. as the ravens gear up for a new season, there is word this morning that a former player is in trouble with the law. linda so is here to tell us whypolice arrested jermaine lewis. >> reporter: the former wide receive ran over a sign with his car and left the scene. when they went to his house to question him, things got worse. police used a taser on lewis after they say he became combative and resisted arrest. we know him for the huge touchdown return during the ravens superbowl win in 2001. he played with the ravens for six years scoring 23 touchdowns. on monday night, people on the road say they saw lewis driving his dodge charger erratically. police say he ran into a sign at a volunteer firing company about a block from his home. cops went to his house and found him on the couch appearing intoxicated. when they tried to question him he was combative. police say he was tased and arrested. he was taken to the hospital. police say he admitted to

hitting the sign with his car and is out on bond but faces several charges failure to remain at the scene of an accident, driving on a suspended license and resisting arrest. linda so, abc2 news. around the nation this morning, remains of a 3-year- old girl from missouri missing for more than a week may have been found. police say a patrol officer found the body of breeann rodriguez in a ditch 8 miles from her hour cement was seen august 6th riding her bike in front of her home. authorities say a neighbor confessed to dumping the body after suffocating her with a plastic bag. he was arrested on saturday. i never been scared by lightning until today. it was we willry -- really scary. >> eight people were hurt in orlando at sea world. none were life-threatening injuries and luckily no one was hit directly. lightning hit the ground and people were warned about the oncoming storm and they were told to get out of the water. a couple climbers ended up stuck on 300 feet up in the air

now "good morning maryland." so it was stand off for the record books a 25-year-old man climbed up on a radio tower last thursday and didn't agree to come down until yesterday. he was on the tower for more than 125 hours make it the longest stand off ever for police. they say that he went -- went without food or water since friday. he was taken to the hospital and now he faces trespassing charges. a nonstop drought is causing nonstop water main breaks. water is wasted in what's call a daily epidemic. there are 600 breaks across the city of houston and crews can repair between 80 to 100 a day on a given day a lot of people are under strict water restrictions during the hottest

time of the year. we thought york road was bad. we have a look at towson on what's going to be a beautiful day. west towson elementary getting the glow over the eastern sky. we are a little more than half an hour from sunrise. 65. we could drop another notch or to. basically a very light wind and a beautiful set up here. virtually cloud free skies and there was a little flare-up of a shower. around baltimore and between south baltimore, and annapolis, we had some showers try to pop up between about midnight and 2 in the morning. just a little band of clouds dropping their way southward through the bay and we have virtually clear skies with high pressure in control and that's going to remain for the day a mostly sunny skies. we will start between 65 and 70 and the official sunrise there at 6:22. we take it from 8 a.m. to noon and warm it up to 83. the two degree guaranteed high with a sunny to partly cloudy afternoon, 87. and this evening through this evening at 8:00 at 80 degrees. we expect to have a look at

southwest. that pumps in more heat. there's a cold front on the move through the great lakes and although not a tremendous a moisture with it, it has clouds and will spark showers and storms as it slides in our direction. again, about a day away. day and a half away. we will watch the future radar which ignites some showers ahead of the front during the morning. and we could get debris clouds mixing in during the day tomorrow. it will be a warm day and we will watch the showers and storms flare up here across the mountain. this is going to be an interesting setup. while we watch that back to the west, we are going to watch the surge of moisture trying to come up the coast. now we will have to see how that plays out during the day on thursday. and friday itself. a lot of rain is moving up the eastern seaboard not good news for the beaches for friday. and some of that could get pulled back northwest especially if our boundaries stalls out nearby and we will enhance the threat of rain. friday could be a stormy day and an improvement over the weekend. a warm one today, sunshine and with high pressure in control, and the winds out of the southwest will push it to 87.
