the beltway at park heights, the outbound is moving well towards 795. no issues to report there. inbound is moving fine. because of the light traffic, our drive times are doing fine. harrisburg expressway southbound, to the beltway, five minutes. and six minutes 95 southbound from white marsh to the beltway. back to you. we have a recall to tell you about this morning. this time, not the cantaloupe but the lettuce with listeria. and a farm in california is voluntarily recalling their crop. after traces of listeria have been discovered. abc 2 is standing by with the latest. corinne? >> reporter: the true leaf farms in california is recalling chopped romaine lettuce with serious conditions, one bag tested positive for listeria. the company says the lettuce was grown on the farm and true leaf is recalling 2300 cases of the chopped leaf lettuce. the ceo says expensive food

safety measures are already in place. >> the testing product will be audited all the time and we're testing at our plant and we're sanitizing every day. >> now, this latest food recall comes on the heels of that major cantaloupe recall. but so far, no illnesses have been reported due to tainted are lettuce. corinne redman, abc 2 news. news around the nation this morning, parents and children outside of florida schools terrified after one child is pinned beneath a car. police showed it quickly and went to work freeing the child. the entire rescue was caught on an officer's dash cam. that boy had been dropped off at school when another car pulled up and hit him. the boy was rushed to a hospital and is expected to recover. 5:35 this morning. a billboard on fire. outback steakhouse. >> now, drivers outside atlanta saw the cloud of smoke billowing from a highway billboard, but it

house fires, downed trees and power lines. this is what some in virginia are dealing with this morning. all in the aftermath of a damaging storm that people say is worse than hurricane irene. and most people living along virginia beach say they're used to seeing the flooding but this

is the worst they've ever seen. some places are cleaning up as much as three feet of water from that storm. take a look at that. we are going to have ourselves some rough weather this weekend. even down to the beaches. some cool air settles in. 57 degrees in ocean city. we have a a good morning to a couple of folks. sherry is ready for the cool weather. terry, this is a sign of the morning. hot apple cider. i can't wait to do some of that this weekend as well. and good morning, deno is ready to open up the fire pit. 56 degrees fairly typical this time of the year and a cooldown after today. and we're actually going to surge up today. ahead of the frontal boundary, we push into the southwesterly flow and we wake up with clear skies and sunshine and we will mix in some clouds but this general trajectory for that kind of a frontal boundary, it doesn't have a whole lot of moisture to work with and the mountains will sort of ring that out like a sponge if you will and i know some of the true

involuntary manslaughter trial wrapped up in los angeles and so far the testimony is quite compelling the michael jackson's personal physician is accused of giving the star a lethal dose of the anesthetic propofol. the director of logistics for the pop star is the man who called 911 and he was terrified, he testified that yesterday. before making that call, he testified that dr. murray asked him to pick up vials of a milky white substance. prosecutors say murray was cleaning up evidence. he is also described as michael jackson's children, paris and prince, they realized something was wrong. >> paris screamed out daddy and dr. conrad murray said hurry, don't let them see their dad like this. don't let them see their dad like this. and i proceeded to turn around to the children and kind of ushered them out. and said, kids, don't worry, we will take care of it. everything is going to be okay. >> the judge ordered attorneys not to publicly reveal their

announce today florida's presidential nomination process would be january 31 and likely force early voting states including south carolina, new hampshire and iowa to change their contests to early 2012. and thus speeding up the timetable for g.o.p. contenders. and louie sanchez and marvin knollwood are set to appear in a los angeles court over the beating of the san francisco giants fan brian stow that left him comatose with brain injuries. thousands from all of the military services will be represented at a ceremony, along the command of the nearby naval station in new port. this week's nascar race will be increasing traffic on the chesapeake bridge and they will be monitoring traffic and alleviate potential delays. all of this is weather permits. news time 5:56.
