men accused of embirrinating officers. they entered a home after identifying themselves as officers. no weapon was seen, but they patted down a man. cash was stolen, and they took off. now, an up date on a story we brought you yesterday. baltimore county police made an arrest in the shooting of the social security employee. now, stokes has been arrested and charged. police are saying that stokes shot the victim not far from the camps of the ssa. the victim made it back to the campus before collapsing. he is still in the hospital today. stokes is being held in a baltimore county detention center. another shocking case of animal cruelty, this is out of baltimore city. a cat was set on fire and had to be youthinized. it was south on 40 monroe 40 --

it is national walk to school today. baltimore county police are going to teach elementary students about traffic safety. now, thousands of children and their parents take part in this event each year. according to the national center for safe routes to school. 25,000 children are injured by cars each year in the usual. one of the best way to increase safety of children. is to teach them ways to cross the street. officers will be stationed on corners to street children this morning and walk with them to school and police take the time to talk to kids about safe walking practices like using a crosswalk and looking both ways. today's event is being held as international school month. coming up at the 6:00 hour, we will have a representative from aaa to talk about the event. sherrie johnson, abc 2 news. well, it started in new

the health crisis has risen 18 people have been confirmed dead because of cantaloupe. the cdc has found 100 illness in 20 day. blackout in a can are coming up with a fresh warning. they are changing drink labels showing that a can as much alcohol as four or five beers. this is after the federal trade commission accused them of being deceptive. dogs are searching through the scrub bushes by elaine. the crews will be searching through the end of the week. they are going to focus on the southeast edge of the island. where she was reported missing by gary. a mom has agreed to sell her newborn son.

all right. making headlines this morning, amanda knox arrived in seattle, washington yesterday. kirk knock is relieved it was finally over. knox was acquitted of murder charges and sexual assault and the fatal stab stabbing of her roommate, mar death kercher. >> i'm overwhelmed. >> hundreds of supporters showed up at the airport. amanda spent four years in an italian prison wants to have a little bit of privacy and spend time catching up with her family. in peru, 400 women have been rescued from what police are calling a forced prostitution ring. hundreds of officers raided brothels after receiving tips that they were forked into
