for the killing of muslims worldwide. ikea is recalling 51,000 children's folding tents. the steel wire frame of the tent can apparently break, causing the sharp wire ends to stick out through the fabric. so far one person has been hurt. the recall affects the brand name d usa and ikea. for more information you can call ikea. sony recalling $1.6 million of flat panel tvs because of a faulty part that may cause them to melt or catch fire. the company recalled the lcd tvs after a september incident in which a customer noticed a small fire and smoke. 11 incidents have been reported in japan since 2008. nobody has been hurt. there haven't been any reports of overheating outside of japan

but the recalls will be announced here in the united states also. and sony has had another run in with computer hackers. they staged a massive attempt to access user accounts on the playstation network and other services. the second major attack this year. sony temporarily locked out about 93,000 accounts and sent them password reset instructions. no credit card data was threatened. move over 410, maryland is getting a new area code. 667 will now represent parts of maryland. the new code will start to be added in march. it affects 410 and 443 areas. it'll represent central and southern maryland as well as the eastern shore. that includes baltimore, baltimore county as well as hartford and howard plus those east of the bay. the reason, they had exhausted the number its numbers under

find the latest stat shocking. we are working for you asking security experts for details at how you can protect yourself. >> reporter: maury uses her debit card from everything from groceries to gas. >> my husband went to get gas and the card was denied. we knew we had money. >> reporter: a quick call to the bank and they learned more than $400 was gone. >> it was at zero. we didn't know how to pay the bills. >> reporter: her bank believes she was a victim of skimming. it happens when someone steals your debit or credit card's strip data. it can happen during routine atm transactions, false card readers and hidden wireless cameras are used by robbers to swipe the bank account information and pin numbers. >> down load that information and they will have it and they will go create a fake card. >> reporter: or they will sell the information online. curt is with the electronic funds transfer association and

said theft from atm skimming now tops one billion dollars a year. according to the united states secret service the number of attacks is on the rise. one reason why, today's skimming devices like this fake card reader are increasingly high end. >> it's a well done crime something that looks just like that which you would normally use when you swipe the card. >> reporter: some can be attached to the outside of an atm or a gas pump. >> we didn't notice anything. >> reporter: consumers aren't held liable for losses but it's support to play detective. start by preforming an inspection. check the card reader to ensure its security. >> look for anything unusual, anything that's out of the
