press conference. >> mr. lopez, based on his  inconsistent statements became a person of interest. an amber alert was activated for miss mcquane's vehicle and her son william. they located her vehicle at the see conknow lodge in charlotte -- at the econo lodge in charlotte, north carolina. a warrant was issued for mr. lopez. 11-year-old william mcquane is still missing. he's described as a biracial male, approximately five feet tall weighing 85 pounds. our focus on priority now is locating william mcquane. we're asking for the public's help. if you have any information with regard to the whereabouts

watch. it's been expanded. we've now added baltimore county and city and harford county to the watch that runs through 9:00 tonight where you see the pink shaded counties. those are actually tornado warnings down through through central virginia. you see several storm clusters coming together in one line here. and it is without question -- this line tracts north and eastward that is why we've now been include in the tornado watch. i want to be specific about that a lot of lightning here. these storms do show signs of rotation. and one example. this storm in manassas, you can see doppler hero indicating red and green pattern. it is a rotating storm. we have about a 30% chance of hail that could exceed 1 inch hail with this storm so a couple of powerhouse storms down here and some of those may

domestic dispute. here is the latest. >> reporter: it was early wednesday afternoon what shots ring out in the posh california beach community of seal beach. >> pop, pop, pop. >> reporter: a man dressed body armor and carrying an arsenal of weapons opened fire in the salon meritage. >> all i could hear were screams and shots. >> reporter: by the time the rampage was over, eight people dead and another in critical condition. >> seal speech a small, safe -- peach is beach is a small safe community. >> reporter: a mav mile away the police -- a half mile away, the police caught up with him and arrested him without incident. >> they realized that he had a bulletproof vest and they had him handcuffed. >> reporter: he was the ex- husband of michelle, a stylist at the salon and seen here on

a man piloting a small plane crash landed on a florida turnpike yesterday. the crews had to get out there and use foam to spray it down g another man was on the plane. neither had life-threatening injuries. the pilot managed to land without any cars on the road at

the time. that is a good pilot. people in indianapolis are covering their heads for more than just cold weather. a giant flock of birds have moved into downtown and they're leaving an impression. they're using a gun similar to a starter pistol to keep the birds from making a massive mess in one area. we'll fly off to a commercial break. but we'll be back by spring, i think.

things like the video and only become more withdrawn. a large cluster of storms in the western washington d.c. suburbs now and north virginia getting good storms. and the national weather service keeping an eye on this and they said we better expand this watch. they have expanded the tornado watch to all the orange shadow counties through 9:00 at some point. we have two warnings. and those in virginia. if they hold together, potentially montgomery county will be nice. this is the main rotating area here. and a rotating storm and a good chance that we have large hail with this thing. it is golf-ball sized hail from the center of the storm. it's a solid 45 minutes from rockville and then it will have to track even further north into baltimore and it's a bit

of a right turn or two. the track has changed a little bit to the east. so we'll keep a close eye on that right now fog. that is the scenario across the baltimore region, 70 and 97% humidity and winds southeast at nine and annapolis showing that gray, moisture scenario through the day. a little bit of sun coming out here late in the day that is a beautiful shot. but most of the day darn ugly. look at frederick socked in. i want to take you done to where they're much closer to the storms. arlington and you see a wild sky here. this is very close to washington d.c. in north virginia. 70 in baltimore, 77 east. on see the temperature contrast, the boundary that is the warm front and the watch concerns are south of that boundary in through south maryland for isolated strong storms like that cluster that we have down in the fairfax area right now.

humidity high. scattered showers and storms further south. there's a cluster in virginia beach right now. that will probably track into the lower eastern shore and again the overall pattern remaining very unsettled. that south wind still pushing up. but the main storm that we're watching now is not the one that was over the carolinas. it's drifted further out to sea. but the main storm and frontal boundary we're watching to the west. and that will come through for us tomorrow. then we clear things out tomorrow night. and it looks like we stay clear and breezy into saturday and we're looking offshore because now it appears there could be another disturbance hundreds miles off florida. chance of showers tomorrow, 72 and tomorrow night we should begin to clear out and it gets breezy tomorrow night into saturday. but ravens' sunday looks better. 69 with sunshine and that hold into monday. herman cain is rising in
