no points. just weeks after governor martin o'malley closed the loophole on text messaging -- >> the goggles are on. the cell phone is out and this 17-year-old is about to find out how well he can text and drive. within seconds he crosses the white line, accelerates quickly and crashes into a truck all while texting using a simulated program. he is one of four students in baltimore to attend the first national teen distracting summit. >> we want to empower these youth. >> reporter: she runs the

nonprofit coalition. she says getting teens to put their phones down is easier said than done. teenage drivers make up the greatest proportion of distracted drivers. in 2009, 594 teens died from distracted driving crashes. students like eric agree and see it first hand. it's pretty normal to text and drive. >> reporter: he admits he does it too. maryland cracked down on the problem two years ago. this month that law was revised making it legal to use text message while at stop lights. i'm interested to see if i can

investigators are still trying to find the family of one of the four mentally disabled adults found look -- lacked in a -- locked in a basement in philadelphia. the incident is still under investigation but police believe they may have been held to collect their disability benefits. a high school in orange county california landed in hot water after implementing a color coded i.d. system. students with the lowest scores had to wait in a separate line. students who scored the highest got perks like free admission to school events and even discounts of local businesses. the system has been recently

you can trust. patients can find exactly what they need to help them through their journey. >> i had gone for a routine mammogram. they had been watching calcifications for about a year. the radiologist said we've been watching the microcalcifications. they haven't changed but you're over the age of 50. i really think we should get them checked to determine if it's cancer or not. i was referred to the doctor. i went in for an examination. they walked me over to the raid hole ji where i had a by hopcy. five days later i was called in july of 2009 and was told that this was invasive breast cancer. >> first of all, i think it's important for women to know once they're told the diagnosis of breast cancer, it's not a decision they have to make immediately. >> the doctor was so wonder f i went into the -- wonderful. i think within the hour of gght

average. 66 degrees for the high but there's no complaints out there. our weather pattern is dry. it is breezy. we are going to be seeing some change. the change is coming as you look at the bigger picture here. i want your eyes to go down to florida. you can see an area of disturbed weather. it is pushing some of that wet weather into florida. it will move in our direction as we go into wednesday. that's why we'll be seeing plenty of rain. some of the rain could be heavy at times. i'll put it into motion. things still looking good. we'll see a few more clouds moving in as we go through this evening and tomorrow but wednesday as we go into lunch team look at the reds. this is heavy rain that will be working its way in. looks like a break thursday. another cold front. looks like a dry cold front.
