burglaries. don harrison shows us what police are doing to handle the break-ins. >> the serenity of the heritage him community has been broken over the past few weeks. since september 20th, five houses have been broken into. some were vacant and others while nobody's home. >> it's scary. i've got three little kids. >> reporter: police are so concerned that they've actually robocalled people in the heritage hill area so they can be aware of it. it's a wakeup call. >> the kids are always out playing. >> our community involvement. they're the first line of defense. we've been made aware of several

stabbing in westminster. he is free after posting $25,000 bail after allegedly stabbing dominic miller in the parking lot outside the cinema at 7:00. >> there was some sort of disagreement. an altercation ensued. a man reached into this pocket and got a weapon. >> the victim drove to a local business and called police after the stabbing. we are dry again today and we got sunshine. maryland's most powerful radar is dry. it will stay that way as we go through the rest of the evening. the satellite is streaming in,

stumbles into a gas station here in detroit. it's clear he has been drinking, but not to worry he brought along a designated driver. >> nine years old. she's driving. i'm drunk. >> reporter: the gas station surveillance video caught them. the clerk told the gas station manager -- >> i was upset about it. i wasn't happy with the fact that someone would allow their daughter to drive them around. >> reporter: someone else called 911 and said the girl was driving pretty good. >> a 7-year-old girl is driving it and her dad is drunk and he's the passenger. >> reporter: when police pulled the driver over, she was sitting

investigators in philadelphia are trying to find victims after four mentally disabled adults were found chained in a basement. the victims told police they

weren't sure how long they had been held captive. police believe they may have been moved many times over a year's period. one spoke for the very first time today. >> i have a birthday coming up friday and i didn't even know it was coming up. i'll be 42 years old. >> one of the three people charged was previously convicted of murder after starving a man to death in a closet in the 1980s. police said the scheme was to steal their social security money. a man used a sword to punish his daughter. the daughter managed to text a friend who called police for her. the teen said her father decided to put her in renaissance aged body armor with a shield and forced her to fight him for two

hours. in lubbock, texas, they're no longer fighting wildfires but a dust storm. power lines fell. buildings were damaged and several roads blocked by falling trees. the airport was also damaged. people were asked to stay off the roads while the storm blew through. most of the republican presidential candidate also square off in their eighth debate but one candidate is sitting things out and binge drinking isn't good for your body and it's not good for the country either. why alcohol could be a problem for america.

getting a cancer diagnosis is hard enough but one of the side effects is fatigue. at good samaritan hospital they created a fatigue program to help patients through the challenging time. >> i woke up at 4:00 in the morning on a thursday and i just couldn't breesmght i told my kids to call 911 -- breathe. i told my kids to call 911. on friday morning they did a biopsy on my breast. a week later is when they called me back and let me they it is cancer. coming to good samaritan is probably the best thing that has happened to me since being diagnosed. >> we troy to encourage all individuals coming into the

program, our nurse navigator helps direct patients through the program. >> surprisingly, fatigue is the number one complaint among our patients, so the fatigue program is a really important part of the treatment. >> individuals will see a nutritionist, physical therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist and pain management if necessary. >> i came to good samaritan, to the fatigue program after i came and went to rehabilitation and they showed me how to do different exercises. i also had the opportunity to speak to a nutritionist. i have a wonderful therapist who have helped me get through this journey like upwouldn't believe. >> when the patients become discouraged, i run through some of the things they have learned, remind them to keep appointments and that the fatigue will

upper level low. you can see this frontal boundary splitting the two but we will be seeing lots of moisture and feeling lots of moisture as we go through tomorrow. future trend picking up on what i'm talk bsmght things still looking good, looking dry. we'll have a few more clouds as we go through the rest of the evening. by tomorrow morning, 3:00, 4:00, we'll get wet weather working its way. we'll see the heaviest rain off to the east, more along the eastern shore. your rush hour will be a wet one. still maybe a few scattered showers hovering across the area. by thursday morning i'm going to keep a few showers in but things dry out nicely, especially last we hit the weekend. overnight temperature coming in about 57 degrees. clouding. the rain will come towards morning. tomorrow 67, the rain heavy at times and windy conditions. tomorrow night 53 with showers possible. it will be breezy.
