we have expressed a continuous willingness to work with them so they are able to even though they didn't apply for any permit, didn't follow any protocol, we continue to be willing to work with them but in order to have this cooperation it has to be a two way street. >> reporter: the protesters say they are here to stay and are willing to work with the city but won't just leave. they are hinting at evicting us and we are just trying to get clarification and get the extense to have a dialogue and try to get them to come down and talk to us in person. and see what we can do. >> reporter: we did get an e- mail late from the protest where they said they talked to the mayor's office and no action would be taken tonight. the city has made it very clear that they do want this tent city out of here and they wouldn't the number of protester that are staying overnight in the square to be

gone. not to be gone but don't want the group staying in the square overnight to be limited not to a large group but to maybe two or more. two or fewer. we will have more coming up later. reporting live. >> the verdict is in and a judge has ruled and now the only thing left is the sentence for the locksmith who we have been tracking to years. joe horton was found guilty of theft and identity theft for signing a customer's name on a credit card slip without her consent. horton has provided locksmith services and tried to charge more than a thousand dollars but when the customer refused to pay he forged her name. he is scheduled to be back in court friday for sentencing. >> weather wise we continue to seat clouds holding tough but the rain has diminished. we had a good round through baltimore this afternoon for about an hour or two. right now just the clouds hanging out. we are getting a little break,

leslie street when she asked a man for directions in a van. the van pulled up to the curb and the driver offered the teen a ride. several people apparently inside the van sexually assaulted her. police are asking anyone who recognizes the van to call crime stoppers. . they are also urging people in the area to be careful if they are approached by a stranger in a similar van. >> the a man charged with peeping tom and trespassing. it happened last night. a witness said that he was heading to visit the home when he spotted a man looking into a window. the man parked when he saw a light in the bedroom and was caught watching a child inside. we have an update an the story

of a suspicious incident we told you about earlier about a 14-year-old boy on his way to the bus stop when he was approached by a man in a black van on monday morning. now the sheriff's office has released this picture of a van similar to the one described by the teen. he described it as a black commercial type work van with black bumpers, tinted windows, several neighbors have reported seeing this similar van so if you think you may have seen the van police ask you to call the hartford county sheriff's office. diane is now in police custody charged with armed robbery for an accident that happened yesterday. a 70-year-old woman said she was in parking lot of the box and save on baltimore annapolis when the woman approached her, attacked her, threw her to the ground and then stole her purse. officers searched the area, found it nearby and found the woman's purse which was returned to her. tonight a man is recovering from smoke inhalation after an

early morning row home fire in east baltimore. happened just before three in the 500 block of north patterson. the fire started in the living room and the man, the only person inside got out. investigators are still searching for a cause. a 15-year-old, an 8th grader, is being charged as a juvenile after he gave up his gun that he carried to school today. at his lunch the student went up to the assistant principal and said he was struggling with thoughts of suicide and handed the gun over. state police say the student carried the gun from his home to school, put it inside has locker and then got it out for lunch. this is no indication, no indication whatsoever that it the student had any desire to hurt anybody else other than himself. and the former university of virginia lacrosse play era accused of killing his girlfriend was in court. his attorneys are once again asking a judge for access to

. shows that graduates struggling to pay student loans and the president has revealed a plan to help the burden face. he wants to cap loan payments at 10% of earnings starting next year and for the first time student loans out strip credit cards as the biggest source of household debt with students owing more than a trillon dollars. >> it'll be tough. i'm not sure how i will do it. i will have to do it some way. >> normally we try to package loans less, we look for grants, we look for scholarship. >> a survey found that 8a 5% of the graduates say they will move back home and the

president's plan calls for student debts to be forgiven after 20 years. does your 14-year-old know how to ballet checkbook, the state comptroller wants schools to teach financing take make sure that 2500 elementary and middle school students learn how to save, learn how to invest and budget. a bill detailing the idea has been passed in the state senate but hasn't made it past the house of delegates. and in baltimore, county officials on hand for the dedication of several new small businesses in catonsville, its old fashioned candy shop is one of the shops bringing out proud officials today. >> i think we one of the things we have going is we have a lot of people that live in the area that are reinvesting. >> the other news business was the breadery and that's going

sky shopper, facebook, we always love to have you post this on the station facebook page. up toward pretty boy, look at that fall color peaking across much of the state right now. 58 baltimore, 64hagers town. there is still warm arhat there in the winds again still really a nonissue but it starts to change overnight and especially into the middle part of the day tomorrow. i think you will feel the winds pick up. temperatures will start to drop, clouds scattered across the state. a few showers in the eastern shore but most of us dry at the moment. there is a new round of rain, you can make it out. kentucky, west virginia, tennessee this next round gets in late tonight like around 11:00 and it'll bring in a couple of waves of showers, not just tonight but through tomorrow. this mild, relatively dry air, that is all gone in the next few hours and pushing away. the trend showing the cab for rain toward six.

could get a good dousing of rain. maybe a break and then another wave of rain. that would make both drives more of a headache tan they already are. friday maybe brief clearing, that will be food but a windy or chillier day, even with a break from the rain and maybe one more round one last wave friday night into early saturday, that would be rain for us but maybe a winter mix in western maryland like west of hagers town. gulf of mexico, rinacancun bracing, 24 hours now, expected to make landfall as a category one. packing winds to 85, moving northwest. it'll make a turn toward florida but just a weak disturbance by then. the big impact likely to be the mexican resorts. hope you didn't have a trip booked there this weekend. 52, rain likely, better chances likely, the rest of the evening

baltimore. now back on land. here she comes, behind the wheel of the car today. that's our mayor, driving in with a chevy volt today. she was showing off new charging stations for hybrid cars throughout the city. we have nine of them, nine city owned charges. she pulled up, parked and charged up or car. in this demonstration was in the baltimore street garage. you will find the chargers up there on the second level. there it is all producinged in, ready to go. and zaggot out with the third yearly best restaurant baltimore. here is a list of the places, number five, [inaudible], number four samuel's, number three prime rib, number two volt and number one charleston. three noble prize winner got together to reveal a permanent exhibit about the replacement of the hubble.
