35 officially at bwi. and ocean city by the way in the 40s by the board walk and back to the airport in berlin, a few miles inland and then a few miles to the south, the ice box of southern pennsylvania, they're at 29 degrees. most of us near or below freezing. frost to deal with. if you take a closer look, looking at clear skies and the official sunrise at 7:36. and that's two hours and six minutes, the clock is continuing to tick, number we see that sun-up at 35 degrees on average and push our way up to 60 with sun this afternoon. again there could be some frost to scrape off the windshield this morning. that's warming up the vehicle. a little extra time. right? >> exactly. i hate scraping all the frost off the windshield. it takes so much time. we had an accident just clear out of the way, 295 northbound, at the beltway. so things should be running smoothly. and no issues to report. 95 and 175. this is a live look. traffic is flowing freely in both directions between the beltways, if you're traveling southbound from elk ridge to laurel, no incidents in your

way. and 69, just west of perrin parkway and volume in both directions and outer loop to the left of the screen, is a little heavier parksville to towson. and drive times are still doing okay and the normal drive times and topside of the beltway between bel air and providence about 6 minutes. and traveling 95 southbound out of white marsh to the beltway, also take you about six minutes. 5:32. your voice has been heard. bank of america backing down from the plan to charge customers a new five dollars debit card fee. and linda stow is here to tell us why the bank has rethought that original plan. linda? >> it is all because of you. and the public outcry. we just got our hands on this online petition. it is really what started this whole thing. it started about a month ago when bank of america first announced plans to add the new fee. and this petition now has 306,000 signatures. molly catchpole from dc launched the petition demanding the bank to repeal the $5 debit fee. it grew like wildfire.

and eventually got bank of america to back down. and the public outcry spurred other big banks like chase and wells fargo to kill their plans to roll out new debit fees, and molly says she hopes this encourages people to speak up, if they're against something. >> i really hope this inspires other people to try to change things. when they're unhappy with them. and even if it is something like starting a petition. >> now, bank of america issued a statement saying, quote, our customers voices are the most important to us. and as a result, we are not currently charging the fee and will not be moving forward with any additional plans to dostowe. news around the nation, safeway is now dropping charges against a honolulu couple arrested for stealing a sandwich. now it led to the 2-year-old daughter being taken to the state custody. the mom is 30 weeks pregnant and said she was feeling light-headed and intended to pay for it and forgot when the family checked out and when they

were leaving, the family was approached by security and offered to pay for the sandwich which costs $5 but you can't pay for merchandise once you leave. the company was taken into custody and the doctor was taken away for 18 hours. one off-duty police officer in new haven missouri helped with a woman who was in the path of the train. officers got the woman and the 1-year-old out of the train, and the train was unable to stop and crushed the car. the woman failed a sobriety test and was arrested. her child was turned over to a family member. a police chase, a vehicle in clearfield, utah that was going as fast as 15 miles an hour. not impressed? it may be trickier than you think. police were chasing a stolen front end loader as it crossed into the woods and over the train tracks. you're watching the dash cam video. unusual pursuit.

after about 15 minutes the front end loader went off the road but got stuck on a fence. the thief tried to run away but caught quickly and police say the man stole two cars earlier in the day. news time is 5:34. and even the snowstorm couldn't stop their perfect wedding. a couple started to go ahead with their perfect day despite the weather but there were a few changes as well. also, billy jean and now maria heater. a lawsuit claiming the young pop star justin bebe ser a proud dad. what their camp has to say about that on this wednesday. let's head to new york with a check of the morning's tech bytes. in today's tech bytes, g mail is getting a makeover. besides a new look and new theme, g mail is adding some features. they include automatic window resizing and the ability to choose the density of the layout of your screen. you can also their profile pictures to their messages. and a survey of parents finds that more than a third are aware that their children joined facebook before the age of 13. in fact, many of them helped

later today, environmental leaders will be gathering at the national aquarium, to talk about the deep water oil horizon an the spill in the gulf of mexico. abc 2's linda stowe is here to tell us what they hope to accomplish. >> here is what we learned. over the next three day, leaders talk about the long term effects of the bp oil spill and how to make sure what happened there is not forgotten. the conference will start at 6:30 at the national aquarium. scientists and researchers and government leaders will be there. senator ben cardin will deliver the keynote address. over the last year, a number of researchers collecting data to assess the long-term effects of the bp oil spill. that spill as you know spewed devastating amounts of crude oil into the water. damaging life in and around that area. here is the conference. they will be talking about the latest research. and how to move forward to restore the gulf and surrounding

ohio valley and across the appalachians. one of the coldest spots down toward charlotte is 32. it is 34 in roanoke. and 35 in baltimore. as we check out temperatures on the other side of the little pocket of chills, it is 53. in memphis. and in st. louis, it is 55 in chicago. here is the deal. high pressure is in control. this is what we said yesterday. the big bubble of no trouble. winds around. it and a northerly flow and a chilly side on the east side and a return flow on the backside swings around from the west. and they're warming up. some cloud cover may help that as well across the northern great lakes and back across the midwest, overall though, that weather system, it is going to take a couple of days to reach us and chemical check out the wind flow. a light wind pattern. look at the ripple. an area of low pressure that will pass to our south and we can clearly show you with the future trend and you can see that little storm passing to the south. and it will increase cloud cover later tomorrow, and a small chance of showers on friday. and most of the energy locked across the carolinas, but

however, this will be a day that we start knocking down those temperatures once again. but today, we're in the up ward swing. and after a little bit of frost to start off, back to 60 in the afternoon, with the guaranteed high and back into the 30s tonight which means more frost to deal with tomorrow. then we warm up into the lower 60s. we will call it 62 on thursday. and we bring in a chance of showers, 58 friday. the weekend looks dry. and chilly. and highs ranging from the middle 50s. let's see what is happening back on the roads, 5:51 on the clock. here is tonya. our road work on 95 northbound and route 24 emerson road is now out of the way. and for the most part, we're doing pretty well, so far, on the beltway. taking a live look on the outer loop on the northwest side, near 795. outer loop volume is moving in old port road from pikesville to woodlawn. good to go and moving well. but topside of the beltway, at harford road, we have volume building on the outer loop to the right of the screen, and it is moving, and drive times are still normal for the most part.
