impact of the senseless killing. >> was halloween. i got sidetracked and he went down there anyway to get the food. >> you scared to put up the fight. that was the type of guy he was. >> reporter: police detectives armed with fliers were surrounding streets going door to door in hopes of finding someone who saw one. just before 7:00 on monday when jones died from multiple gunshot wounds. some of jones family is related to marriage to 72-year-old charles bowman the security guard was gunned down here in the same place during the robbery last year. the repeated violence around the business is promptly to relocate it or to shut it down.

at least 331 separate injuries on her body. that trial begin today. after an extensive 18 month investigation, a violent gang with alleged ties to at least four murder have been broken up by the feds. that's according to u.s. attorney announced the news today. >> reporter: nearly two dozen are reportedly part of this gang which is called dead man incorporated. the group was involved in four murders. u.s. attorney was joined by members of the fbi and atf as well as state and local law enforcement. it's a prison gang made up of 18 men and 4 women which was formed back in 2000. members of this home grown group had visitors smuggle contraband into the prisons. they used contraband cell

phones inside the prisons to communicate. the fed say the group was responsible for four killings that happened in baltimore city and baltimore county. this should be a warning to anyone involved in gang activity. >> we believe that the key to continuing to reduce the violent crime and murder rate here in baltimore and throughout the state of maryland so to target the gangs and the leader of these gangs. >> reporter: while this gang was formed through maryland prison, it has expanded on to the streets also in pennsylvania and louisiana. as for this case, all the defendants face a maximum sentence of life in prison. some are peacing other times in -- facing other times behind bars.

>> charles smith has traveled the world with his basketball moves. now he's doing some work off the court to help inner city youth. the youth empowerment program offers mentoring and afterschool tutorials. >> reporter: it's study time for 14-year-old dwayne banks. these are two of the students in the khu smith program. it's a program that mentors kids in basketball and offers academic help after school. >> it's good. he a lot of trouble in math.

it's kind of help me a lot. i'm doing better in math and regular school now. >> reporter: charles smith, better known as chu is known for his talented skills on the court as harlem globetrotter. he devotes his time to helping kids. he keeps kids busy, off the streets and reaching for the stars. >> we have young people that love basketball and it's fine to be great in basketball. we're going to teach life lesson and responsibility through basketball. >> reporter: many of the students in the program face difficult challenges with a trouble home life. >> we right to enlighten all the people to look beyond the situation. a lot of time people are faced with lot of challenges.

risk for health problems because they are obese. nearly 75% of these obese kids tried to lose weight. but they are more likely to drink soda on a rig basis -- regular basis. while obese boys were less likely to exercise and more likely to spend 3 hours a day on video games. all the teens trying to lose weight are more likely to smoke. this study shows that young people need more guidance and support to work off that unwanted weight. kids taking medication to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder are at risk of serious health problems. 1 million people ages 2-24 taking adhd medication, these kids and young adult, apparently didn't face higher risk of serious cardiac
