until he's 80 years old. 29-year-old walter bishoped the court for mercy. bishop was found guilty what's week for a murder for hire plot. bishop told the judge, i am not a monster the state said i was. i made a mistake in judgment and took a man's life. i should be punished but i don't feel i deserve to be in prison for life. judge norman told bishop he didn't buy his defense claiming he was manipulated. judge norman said the bishop's claim was preposterous. the prosecution agrees. >> what we were attempting to portray, this was a person motivated by money. i'm not somebody who was able to get into his mind and find out what's driving that. that's what we were trying to portray. >> reporter: bishop was given

life in prison with the possibility for parole for the murder. all of those sentences are to run concurrently. he won't be eligible for parole for about 50 years. >> i appreciate and respect the jury. we had an opportunity to have a fair trial. we had an opportunity to present all the evidence that we felt was appropriate for them to consider. they did an excellent job of doing their job and i respect their decision. >> reporter: with this sentencing, five of the six people involved in the murder either pleaded guilty or found guilty by a jury. abc 2 news. the man accused of killing his estrange wife and then stepson after amber alert is on his way back to maryland. 11-year-old william mcquain was found nearly a week later in a

hospital. perkins say patients who needs trial, those found guilty by reason of insanity. the two recent killings are still under investigation. closing arguments started today in the federal bribery case. federal prosecutors told the jury that curry used office to get valuable benefits. prosecutors say he got more than $245,000 and they also claim that curry kept the fact that shoppers was paying him to help get liquor license transfers. lawyers for curry says he was only working for a consultant. officials say they still don't know what started a fire of the historic washington.

you see places like cincinnati today in the mid-60s. we'll get a taste of that tomorrow. as we go into tomorrow night and into friday, the storm system looks to dive south. thursday evening, we're still high and dry. thursday night into friday, just south of the baltimore area should leave us with generally clear weather. you will feel the difference temperature wise friday into saturday. not a arctic blast but it will drop our temps for a few days. overnight 37, that means clear and chilly out there. tomorrow, 63, mostly sunny and seasonable. how about a look at your forecast, 43 clouds on the increase. not quite as chilly. your 7 day forecast, trending cooler here, thursday night into friday, even saturday looks bit cooler but as we go into sunday, a nice warm-up again and back up near 60.
