fire gutted his girlfriend's childhood home but had no idea the house had become a place to hang out. >> we come up here every week and check inside l. has been no evidence of anyone inside the house. >> abc 2 news. >> fire investigators say the hartford county sheriff's office is interviewing other people to find out if anyone else had been at the vacant house last night. investigators still trying to identify the person whose body was found inside of a garage late last night. a fire broke out just after nine in the garage behind a vacant house. firefighters responded and put out the fire. that is when they discovered the body. the cause of that fire is also under investigation tonight. it is time to roll back your clock. we are working for you with a reminder about something else you should do this weekend. when you turn back the dial on

principal to make an example of the team. today it was realized it was a harmless celebration. the principal says there is a lesson to be learned here. >> the intent of my original decision was newt to punish the students but to preserve the dignity and character of an educational based athletic program. >> reporter: players will have to complete an online course insporousmanship. the game will be played at 2:00 tomorrow afternoon. rosy, back to you. a 17 year old boy has been arrested and charged as an adult with first degree murder for a deadly shooting on halloween. police released this surveillance video of the crime and the family of jones recognized him and turned him into detectives last night.

>> detectives were actually in awe. normally in baltimore people are so used to kind of doing the wrong thing. we put the picture out of the suspect and it was family members who felt the need to do the right thing. >> detectives say jones family saw him on tv and couldn't stomach the thought of him getting away with murder. and three men are in baltimore police custody tonight charged with police impersonnuation. detectives believe they posed as officers and then robbed two people in separate incidents in central and southwest baltimore. the men got into their homes by saying that they were trying to serve a warrant. police are asking anyone who may have been robbed to call detectives. tomorrow a journalist from baltimore will arrive home.

this weekend the level of anticipation is even higher than usual because the ravens are taking on that team in pennsylvania that shall remain nameless. this time it is on their turf. this is the second time the teams will meet this season. the ravens started off with a punishing win against that team that should remain nameless. they were so excited. that guy was really excited. they couldn't wait until sunday. got to enjoy a special pep rally this afternoon. patients and staffs took part in a cheering contest, trivia challenge and meet and greet as the ravens -- you can [indiscernible] tv room is going to be very, very packed. for players a little younger than our ravens underarmer is recalling chin straps from football helmets.

the metal snap that connects the chin strap has sharp edges and could end up cutting the other players. so far the company says they received records of six people being injured. the straps being recalled is so several -- were sold at the outlet. if you have these at home stop using it and contact the company for a replacement. annapolis is a city on the water so it is natural that the mayor's office would be mindful. today we got a look at the latest effort, a hybrid mounded on two of annapolis' harbor master's boats. it came from a grant of 300,000 bucks. the boats gas consumption should really improve. >> the electric motor will give it about 5 knots. the harbor speed limit is 6 miles per hour which is about

more and more banks are posing higher fees to use debit cards. this week bank of america announced they would not be charging 5 bucks a month after a lot of people threatened to take their money and run. some say this issue will probably pop up again. tips that may help you avoid that extra charge. >> reporter: like so many of us david pane relies on his debit card. david is rethinking the way he banks ever since he got this letter from his bank saying he has to pay $5 a month to use his debit card. >> in the middle of this economic down turn that we are

in with this turmoil to add more fees for someone to pay during a month is unconchen baseball. >> reporter: banks are charging from 3 to 5 bucks a month for using your debit card. big banks say they are losing money from swipe fees. stores have to pay a swipe fee to banks. congress recently reduced the amount that banks can charge from 74 cents to 22 cents. >> with that money gone banks have to find someplace else for income in order to support the cost of providing a checking account. >> reporter: the american bankers association says it costs banks about $300 per customer per year to maintain their checking accounts. it points the finger straight at congress for this new pain. >> to be successful any

business or household revenue has to be higher than expenses. >> reporter: consumer advocates say don't buy it. they say banks aren't hurting. they are still making money even from swipe fees. >> quarterback don't think it is fair for banks to raise fees and blame congress. >> reporter: advocates say you can try to avoid the debit card fee, the bank may waive it if you use direct deposit, carry a minimum monthly balance and have multiple accounts at the same bank, complain to the bank or you can say you are going to take your account elsewhere. that is what david pane plans to do. >> i plan on telling them as a close my account i think the bottom line is i am almost offended that they are doing this. >> reporter: so far a lot of unhappy customers have already done this. we'll have to see if the banks change their mind. megan pringle, abc 2 news. >> the fact that several other
