troutman, it is tuesday and you're watching "right this minute". oklahoma is not okay. after an earthquake and a tornado. meet the storm chaser who was rolled right into a ditch. >> it took the wheel out of my hands, basically. let's go pound them. >> and a very excited person who had just come out offence thesia now nathan and his dad tell us the story behind the video that's going viral. he's being called the real "slum dog millionaire." >> he won 50 million rupes. >> which is about $4, right? >> it's about $1 million, nick. >> hear about his hard-luck life and the question that changed everything. oh, ow! >> police fire on an occupy photographer. now hear why he didn't see that one coming. >> there was no warning given to me. and the little dude takes his first baby steps.
4:02 pm
>> he looks like he got slimed. >> he was just born a few minutes ago, steven. we begin our show today with some weather video from a few different angles. now there was a 5.6-magnitude earthquake in oklahoma over the weekend. and less than 48 hours later, tornadoes touched down in oklahoma. take a look at this video taken from inside the car of a storm chaser. the funnel cloud is coming straight towards the car. you can see the rain on the windshield, the windshield wipers are going full force. >> whoa! >> right in front of his path, the car ended up rolled over in a ditch. >> whoa. >> we caught up with andy gabri gabrielson. the storm chaser who shot this video from the back seat of the car. >> it took the wheel out of my hands, basically. and it caused my car to go into a ditch and it rolled a couple of times. some of my friends were right
4:03 pm
behind me. they saw it happen, they helped pull me out and the first thing we did when we got back in the car, we went and saw about three more tornadoes. >> these tornadoes had wind speeds of 90 miles per hour to 100 miles per hour. we have another view of this tornado. and if you could harness the power of a tornado -- to power something, think about that. >> they had tornado warnings in 17 different counties across oklahoma. some people were actually trapped in their home due to debris. but they were rescued and were unharmed. >> earthquakes and tornadoes at the same time is like armageddon. little bit of a situation today on the tappen zee bridge in new york. it looked like spider-man was hanging from the center span of the bridge this is 54-year-old michael davit, a disgruntled rockland county employee. he tied a ladder to his dodge ram pickup truck, which he parked on the side of the tappen zee bridge, climbed down about 75 feet, hung a banner out, wore himself an american flag bandana
4:04 pm
and sipped on a thermos, stripped down to his t-shirt and underwear. he feels he was wrongly terminated from his job. he previously worked for the department of mental health as well. >> this is quite a way to make a statement. >> it seems like if you're going to hang a banner with some kind of protest message on it it would be read by more people maybe if you hung it from a building. >> but it wouldn't get nearly as much media attention. at one point there were four to five helicopter circling from above. carrying this live. he was hanging there for about three hours. police began to lower his ladder down to the water. and before he could get to the boats, he took a digger. he jumped. police are throwing him life buoys and he was like, no, off he goes and he began to swim away. police came along and he scooped him up. because he wasn't grabbing onto the buoys. they lifted him out of the water and took him into custody and at one point he requested that police give him a tobacco pipe.
4:05 pm
they refused his request. >> next he's going to ask for a bowl of just green skittles. >> he may be asking for both of those things, he was transferred to the westchester medical center for evaluation. with the holiday season coming up this is a perfect example of buyer beware. this story comes to us from "houston chronicle." ts n pl on craigslist saying he wanted to buy an ipad. two men contacted him. he was in the parking lot. and this is what happened. they pulled a gun, they pulled an undisclosed amount of cash out of his pocket. but it was captured on surveillance video. >> so from this guy responding to the ad -- these two guys knew he was going to have the cash on him. so -- >> uh-huh. >> there you go. >> and this is not the first time it happens. you hear this time and time again. >> there's some things you just want to stay away from. it's transactions when you're
4:06 pm
exchanging large amounts of money. but this guy, maybe he felt a little bit of safety by being in a public place like this. because it was right in front of a surveillance camera. right in front of these doors. these guys were brazen. >> this is daylight here. you know, it's not like they're in a back alley, like you said. this looks like it's out in the open where anybody could drive by and see this happening. it's shocking. >> you have to do your due diligence and protect yourself. >> it's not a good idea to have that amount of money for a product that's really sought after where you think you're going to get a good deal like that. >> i hope they catch these jerks. the floodwaters in thailand are causing people in the capital city of bangkok to have to evacuate. so it's tough to get around. but at least one guy has figured out a creative way to get from point a to point b. there he is, driving his motorcycle. the floodwaters are up to like his handlebars. the water is just really high
4:07 pm
and he's able to motor on through. >> wouldn't the water flood the engine and ruin it? >> yeah, the tube is attached to his exhaust, has been sent up through the water and out above the surface. see the black tube in the front by his windshield? that's where the air is going in. and then the other tube is where the air coming out of the engine. as long as you keep that stuff above water so it can breathe just like us. how do you see where you're going? there could be something you know, in your path that you're going to run over. if he hits a little speed bump or something that he didn't know was coming. right there, he's like, a tree was down or a log, something, pretty cool. >> pretty smart. >> i'm impressed. keep in mind that motorcycles are built to be in the elements, they're built to be outside. they're built to be driven in the rain. >> i like to think he's helping other people. people are being evacuated. i like to think he's getting people out of their homes or
4:08 pm
apartments that are flooded. getting them somewhere where they can get out of town. >> i'm impressed. have you guys ever been under general anesthesia? >> uh-huh. >> i never have, what is it like? >> it's like the best sleep you've ever gotten. >> instantly. >> when you're waking up, i'm sure it's a very interesting feeling this is nathan, and he is just waking up from anesthesia after having broken his leg and dislocating his ankle at a high school football game in denver, colorado. this video was taken by his dad, joe, as he was waking up. >> that was so cool. i swear to god, i was over there, i was over there, i was over there, i was over there. i was over there. oh, my god! [ laughter ] >> is this real life?
4:09 pm
>> let's go pound it! >> let's go right here. >> let's go! pound it! >> he's a very excited person to have come out of anesthesia. >> nathan, who are your best friends? >> vaughan, ben, those are my best friends. ben and i know exactly what's going on. they're trying to get me back to be completely normal. you guys want to become normal. >> the normalcy he's looking for ain't happening, right? >> right. >> to find out if he's overcome the anesthesia, we have joe and nathan, via skype "right this minute." so, nathan, i have to ask you, what were you feeling when you were waking up from the anesthesia? >> i don't remember much. >> kind of just a big blur. >> joe, what made you start recording? >> actually been acting like that for about 15 minutes. probably a little bit worse, so once he had gotten settled down a little bit, i thought it would be kind of funny. >> what did you think when you
4:10 pm
saw this video that your dad shot of you? >> i was pretty surprised at first, i was a little embarrassed, i didn't know if i wanted my friends to see. >> now that you've posted it online. i'm sure more of them have seen it, what did they say? >> the second i put it on facebook people just loved it. everyone was commenting on it, liking it. >> are you normal now? >> yes, i am normal now, thank god. >> nate, how is the ankle and are you back to playing football? >> no, i broke my leg and i just dislocated my ankle. i needed surgery a couple of days later. so i'll be out for a while. >> does that mean you'll have to undergo anesthesia again? >> i hope not. >> whoa, god, whoa! owe my god! it's a menacing face up in the clouds. >> it kind of looks like bob hope. >> no, this isn't bob, but who could it be? the evil entity causing some speculation. a technical glitch leads to a grand finale. what went down when they lit the

didn't think it happened this early. they thought the most recent picture that had this kind of apparition in it, if you will, was a painting of st. sebastian done by andrea montegna from 1460. this is a 13th century fresco. so this is a cool art history discovery. >> could somebody that's restoring this fresco be looking for some notoriety and maybe make some restorations themselves? look what frugone discovered while she was restoring this fresco. the devil is in the details, beth.
