still without gas. the outage could last for days as bge tries to repair the damage made. >> there are approximately 1,000 bge customers that are impacted by day two of the natural gas main in locus point which contractors accidentally struck on monday morning. all customers needed to be home so bge crews could safely turn off the gas while repairs to the main are underway. >> the strike happened about 10:30 yesterday morning. we responded to the scene immediately and shut off the gas supplied to that damaged gas main. >> reporter: miss mack seen who has lived in locus point said a little inconvenience, not having service but -- >> i've seen a lot of bge guys out here doing their job, making

sure everybody is safe. the one gentleman told me it's one -- that it could blow up the whole block. they've been keeping everybody informed about what's going on. they've been very helpful. >> reporter: about 100 customers who live on the west side of the bridge will have their gas service restored. once the gas main is repaired, it will take several days for the crews to manually turn on the service to each customer. if you should smell gas in the area -- >> they might experience a light odor of gas while the work is being completed. however, if they smell a strong odor, leave immediate love and call from -- leave and call from a safe location. >> now bge is bringing in out of state help.

they will help turn off service and then turn everything back on once the main is repaired. bge will host a community meeting tonight to answer questions for people without gas. the meeting is scheduled to start at 7:30 at the church of redemption at 1401 tow sop -- towson street. a fire damaged a two store re row home. to one was hurt. the cause is still under investigation. the baltimore's health department is investigating two cases of legion near's disease at the nursing home. the nursing home said both people have made a full recovery. the home's water supply is being tested to make sure it's safe.

this part of november. the trend basically brings in this system to the west that will begin to nudge into western maryland as early as thursday morning. then we're watching a tropical storm off the coast. this will continue to creep up the coast, maybe bring some rains offshore from the delmarva area as we go into thursday night. there's two weather systems at play to get a tropically developed system. we are still technically in hurricane season through december 1st, so this is not unprecedented but a little unusual. it could produce rain for a part of maryland as we go into the end of the week. overnight tonight 39, clear and chilly, patchy fog. 63, partly cloudy and not as warm. tomorrow night 46 with clouds increasing. when will the chance for rain come? well, the rain will come in
