from the scene moments ago we heard police were confronting some protesters as they were trying to clear the area, let's stay on the pictures. this is brand new video we are getting in to the newsroomment police dressed in riot gear began clashing with the protesters. protesters -- 100 people were arrested including a reporter for the new york times and new york city councilman. no major report, injuries are reported. one police sergeants had to be taken to the hospital after having trouble breathing. police said this was a temporary evacuation so the park could be cleared out, cleaned up and restored. the mayor's office sent out a tweet after 1:00 this morning saying protesters can return after the park is cleared of all the tents and trash. linda so, abc2 news.

occupy protesters says he was reinjured during a scuffle with portland police. police released this video. he was taken to the hospital after an officer put a knee in his back and he had a previous back injury. it happened sunday as officers were clearing demonstrators out of chatman square. bridges became pinned between crowd and a concrete trash can. police say it's protocol for officers to drag someone if they fallout in from of line especially when protests are involved. police are hunting for ar man at the university of north carolina willmington campus who robbed four people at gun point. authorities are using a hospitaller and canine unit to find the man seen monday headed towards campus. police say he stole cell phones and wallets from four people a block from the university. the school issued an alert advising students and telling people to get in to a secure location. thankfully a friend was driving behind this and saw this van plunge in to a lake

and came to the rescue. the family tried kicking out the window. they used a rock to get them out. everyone got out okay with scrape and bruises. a frightened deer stood frozen in a road for half an hour. it was in a state of shock following an accident. in order to save the animal the officer picked it up and placed it on the side of the road. the dash cam captured the ordeal. the deer relaxed and sprinted in to the woods. where is the original gourddon from sesame street? you never saw this gordan on tv. it was shown to a group of children in 1969.
