we have double nickels from baltimore to 55. 54 up to york, pennsylvania and mid-50s and we have rain. this is maryland's most powerful radar. heavier rain south of washington d.c. and heading through this area and off toward waldorf. there will be bands of rain heavy at times. this part has barely moved but a lot of moisture will be streaming our way. so we expect to have a wet day today. you'll start off with fog in the area and temperatures in the 50s and we expect to have bands of rain that will continue heavy at times. we'll have the cool down behind this weather coming up in a moment. it's early and light out there. no major issues to report on interstates just yet. taking a live look at our traffic cameras. this is the beltway on the northwest side. very light traffic in both directions and damp roads.

occupy baltimore quite a stir in a speech involving bush administration man karl rove. we have new video this morning and reaction as well. let's go to sherrie johnson. >> reporter: it was quite a scene after several protestors disrupted a talk of karl rove on johns hopkins university. you can see a few people chanting and yell at karl rove and basically a university spokeswoman tells us that about 15 people were actually asked to leave the rove speech last night. some were forcibly removed by campus security and no one was arrested. and there were no students among protestors. we headed downtown for the occupy baltimore cam to learn about the events. >> johns hopkins paid him $40,000 to give a little talk
