stephen pitcairn. now, abc 2 news at 6:30. >> investigators are trying to figure out who negligented her. an apparent attack on occupy protesters goes viral. what led up to this and the controversy it's caused. there's no more living in between adoption homes, that's now. a pitbull was abused, negligented and left in pretty bad shape. tonight authorities are look for answers and your help.

cheryl that has latest. >> her name is noel and they hope someone that has holiday spirit and adopts her when she's brought back to health. she's a 3--month-old pitbull and her life was spared when the director got the word that she would be put down at animal control. they're uncertain about who owned the dog before, she was abused. she has a skin condition, it was ignored until now and it's apparent she was mistreated. >> you can tell she's timid, she's very shy. she probably did not have a lot in her life and was mistreated. when you put your hand up, she puts her head down. she was probably hit a lot. to let a puppy to get in this condition, it takes months.

>> tough to see. it will take at least a month to bring noel back to health before she can be adopted. we'll tell you how you can help coming up. police are looking for a suspect in the shooting in southwest baltimore. it happened after 8:30 last night in the 2200 block of eagle street when police arrived on the scene, they found a 27-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. no word on his condition. now to our continuing coverage of the occupy movement protest. there was controversy over a police officer caught on tape pepper spraying demonstrators the school is investigating. >> reporter: after disobeying police orders, they linked

arms. then a university police offer with a can of pepper spray ordered them to dispurse and then casually sprays the chemical into their faces at close range. >> it felt like my face was peeling off and i didn't know where i was at that point i was in so much pain. others recorded it and posted it on youtube the officer had no reason to spray those kids. >> reporter: police have been using chemical sprays against the protesters. tear gas and pepper spray have been used to control crowds and remove demonstrators. >> tear gas, you spray it in the air, pepper spray is to keep people from attacking.

why would you incapacitate them? >> reporter: they said they were surrounded and feared for their safety and warned them. after viewing video, the chancellor of uc davis called it chilling. >> i personally feel bad about what happened to the students and the whole incident. as protests arrested again on the campus last night, the association said it was outraged by what it called police brutality and called on the chancellor to resign. the chancellor davis plans to meet with protesters tomorrow, two university police officers have been placed on leave. nearly a dozen protesters were arrested in d.c. this

weekend after occupying a historic building that used to be a homeless shelter. the arrest happened outside of the school and there was some tense moments with police. it looked as though they moved their camp to the shelter. members of the group started occupying the building around 2:00 saturday afternoon and displayed a banner hoping to talk to city leaders. the building was a school and then a homeless center has been vacant for year and now there's talk of a hotel moving in. a sticky situation in the harbor this weekend. the leak from the storage tank happened at the feed product store. they had to set up blocks, about 300-gallons flowed into

with sunshine, we went throughout the day, the clouds started to creep in across the area. no matter where you were, it got some cloud cover. a nice start and we start to see the clouds pushing in. we call it a mostly cloudy day for the most part. here's radar and again we have some showers on the map but a lot of it not touching the ground. the air dry, we have to moisten up the atmosphere and we get another wave working its way in through the rest of the evening tomorrow morning, that's what i'm thinking that we will be on the wet side and we'll have some breaks throughout the day. our highs today came in the upper 60s at the harbor, close to 70 degrees, more of the same into annapolis, more into d.c., 70 in winchester. that was the cooler spot for today. the satellite and radar, not picking up on a lot. dealing with a lot of cloud

cover and with that cloud cover, of course temperatures are really not going to drop off as we go through the evening, we'll be on the mild side. this is the chunk of the rain that is going to push in as we go through the evening into tomorrow morning. and then we will see another round into tuesday and wednesday. so the weather pattern now, things looking good ahead of the front, meaning mild weather, that front passes through and brings us wet weather through time and then drops the temperatures down a little bit. looking at the future trend, still looking good in terms of the clear weather or the dry weather. but then the wet weather will move in into monday and tuesday. and then we do it again as we go into wednesday, we have about 3 days of some wet weather in the forecast, the good news is the fact that it's not going to be an all-day type of event. rain will be likely through the
