deadly winter storm hits central minnesota saturday. it caused a number of accidents troopers accounted for 442 separate incidents. one person was killed, 50 others injured. conditions were so bad two squad cars were involved in accidents as well. look across the nation. see mainly, not much cold air to be found as we are watching the storm track dominating west. you saw a video earlier on of california roadway that had

a woman's baby tested positive for drugs after she gave birth. the mother never drank or used drugs in a decade and still is a social worker. it caused the baby to be taken away. kuren redmond is live. >> reporter: this story has lots of twists and turns. the mother says nurses at the

medical center started limiting her time with her son, jeff. they told her baby jeff tested positive for cocaine, open yets and pcp in a urine test, michelle is an addictions nurse and doesn't use drugs. she demanded that the hospital test her immediately and guess what, her tests came back negative. the staff at the hospital made a huge mistake saying a mix up happened because of miscommunication during a scheduled computer shutdown. the hospital issued a statement saying if mrs. weber continues to have concerns we are happy to discuss those directly with j her. she lost valuable time with her baby, she is considering legal action against the hospital. kuren redmond, abc2 news. what do you think, what

conference that set to take place at 10:00. no word on exactly what will be discussed a at the morning news conference. penn state has been the focus of international attention following accusations that a former coach abused boys while on campus. joe paterno and gram spaniard were fired this month. penn state university police say they've referred another alleged incident of indecent assault to the attorney general's office. the alleged assault by a known individual that's the quote in the report took place at an outdoor swimming pool between june 1st of 2000, and august 30th. police won't say if that known individual was jerry sandusky. the former penn state coordinator is charged with 40 separate counts of child abuse over a 2-year investigation by the attorney general. office. sandusky says he is innocent and continues to say so.
