the republican presidential candidates are facing off in yet another debate tonight. we'll tell you why tonight the big topic is likely to make for some embarrassing sound bytes tomorrow. all right in my opinion video is disturbing on some many levels, but montgomery county police are helping that same video whether help catch some of the dozens of young people who ripped off a 7- eleven in silver springs late saturday night. >> well, it was swarm of kids. some just stood around. others filled their pockets with whatever they could, but police are hope that the brasses of -- are hoping that the brash tons come into this story with the surveillance cameras will also be their undoing. it occurred around 11:18. , minutes, there were what police estimate between 50 and 70 teens if the store, some stealing anything that wasn't

nailed down. >> for the four or five minutes they were in that store, they had control of that store. certainly they weren't violent, but certainly it's serious, in that they did take over the store, and some chose to steal items from the store. >> reporter: the store owner didn't want to talk on camera, but said the incident is unfortunate, and nothing like this has ever happened here, and most folk has to live here say this is a relatively new shopping center. it's always busy, and hasn't had many problems, and for this many kids to swarm the place is disturbing. >> god knows what else they'll do. the owner here, the manager, he's a very good guy, you know. i mean, he'll do anything for these children. but just to come in here and do that, that's not right. >> police say since the video was released on their website and on youtube, they have received hundreds of calls from people who have recognized or had information about the

video. this is the second such video like this in montgomery county. dozens of the thieves in oh the other robbery were caught and charged. however, the robbery this weekend in silver spring police say is different and may not be a real flash mob. >> at this point, we're looking at the pocket they were at a birthday party in the area. we have no indication this was organized over social media, that they were just at a birthday party and decided to go into the 7-eleven. >> police say what is complicating this is that not all of the people in the video are stealing. some folks were actually paying for the items, and others were just standing around, so they have to sort through the pictures to see who stole stuff, and who didn't. if you have any information or recognize any of the teens in the video call 315-565-5835. let's look at some of

tonight top stories. detectives in harper county have captured three of the county's most wanted criminals. two of the three have violent pasts, and are facing charges involving handguns. all three of the men have been fugitives for years. and sheriffs in queen ann's county have arrested a man they believe has been breaking into cars. they captured hip after posting a video of several of those break-ins on facebook. he was caught this morning and taken into police custody. and maryland's public research group is out with their list of the most dangerous toys. , such oas choking hazards, unhealthy levels of lead, or simple i toys that tour loud. -- simply toys that are too

loud. we are looking at a tough commute right now. a mess, absolutely. where is the heaviest rain right now? well, primarily it is north and east of the baltimore area. we have real heavy bands up through westminster through the northern part of the county here from, say, oh, about toward t inoium northward. and then a big surge of rain coming up towards spare rows point, and this is impacting kent county. so several swaths of very heavy rain, including a band down through arnold. there is some clearing occurs southwest of 0d.c., so there is some room for improvement for the evening hours, the later evening hours, once we get this current wave of rain north, but visibility just a mile in baltimore. it is tough to see. have to use the low beams. be careful out there tonight, just use caution.

police in long island arrested 13 current and former high school students today as part of an s.a.t. cheating scandal. four of those arrested are accused of taking payments to take the s.a.t. or a.c.t. exams for other students. prosecutors believe as many as 40 high schoolers cheated, but of those, only 15 current students and 15 former students say they paid for stand-ins.

americans really serve up these sides at a a celebration feast? well, there's no proof that turkey was on the first thanksgiving table in 1621. the fact it is today isn't the only unexplained tradition of thanksgiving. take football. what would the pilgrims and native americans say about this? they came together in a spirit of harmony. that's definitely not what these teams are doing. and then of course there's black friday shopping, and what does this have to do with giving thanks is still a mystery as much as the stuffing is. even if the turkey didn't win a place at the founding feast, it did win a place in the heart of our founding father ben franklin. he didn't want the bald eagles to be our national symbol, he wanted the turkey. he said the turkey was a more respectable bird, a bird with

all area be basically oxford northward getting rain now on the western half of delmarva. so more rain to fall, but over the next few hours, this wave will continue to press north, and we'll look for some clearing around here. take a look at the current temperature. 55. this will hover in the mid-50s, and eventually begin to warm up we think later this evening. visibility at one mile. that is reduced visibility, and you can kind of see why the rain, the mis, the drizzle, and in fact, fog itself dropping and areas out there tonight. at charm city run, the rain still coming down steady and heavy here. same deal in frederick where it is tough to see out there on the roads. these early sun sets never help the cause. one last stop in damascus, where the rain was basically unabated, nonstop all day long.

dull airport, visibility at -- dullest airport, visibility at one mile. drivers on 168 could find some tough goes, in terms of being able to see. the southerly wind will help clear things out little bit rain-wise through the evening. our temperatures running in the upper 50s to 40s to the west, but again, expect that southerly breeze to kick in. tomorrow, a mid-morning high temperature around 66 to 62 degrees, but i will say this, to the morning weather and the afternoon weather will be completely different. rain and tough visibilities early in the morning, and by the afternoon, it's going to be sunshine and clear, and also breezy. right now we see that heaviest of rain moving just south of baltimore, up through the northeastern corner of the state, and pennsylvania getting some help now. but the second leg of this storm system still to arrive.

that line of rain will come in here as we go into the early morning hours tomorrow, so early morning flights around 6:00 a.m., give yourself extra time to get to the airport and realize you could see some brief flight delays from rain and reduced visibilities, but this last round of rain that comes in, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00 in the morning will be blowing out to the east, and by 10:00 a.m., we should clear in baltimore, and by mid-afternoon, should clear the eastern shore, and that will let some very nice weather move in tomorrow night right into thanksgiving thursday and beyond. tomorrow 62, that comes in the morning along with heavy rain, and then temperatures falling tomorrow night, 34 degrees, clear, breezy, getting much coulder out there. your seven-day forecast. a cooler day for thanksgiving, but you notice things will be be nice and clear, and it looks like a great night for ravens football and the turkey bowl

retailers gearing up for one of the biggest holiday shopping days of the year. in the question is, how do consumers feel about spending and their finances heading into this holiday season? >> reporter: black friday marks the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season, and a new survey finds 41% of consumers intend to spend less than last year, with just 8% planning to spend more. >> what jumped out was the overall perception people had that they're not getting better off than previously. >> reporter: the survey found only about one in fire consumers said their financial situation is better this year than last. but just because consumers don't seem willing to spend now doesn't mean they won't later. >> what happens is people plan to cut back on their spending.
