beaches a little lull in the action but another band of showers trying to push through the mountain right now west of hagerstown. trying to time this out from frederick 7 to about 9 or 10 past baltimore for a brief morning shower. we are mid-50s and could get back to 64a break of sun possible. and gusty winds and another round of a thunderstorm possible this afternoon. and then we usher in cooler butmore importantly drier air we will talk about next. here's charley. this morning investigators now know what started a fire in september that killed two long time educators. abc2 news sherrie johnson has more on the couple's final moments. >> reporter: all new this morning, investigators say the fire that killed two top educators was electrical. and this morning we have the 911 tapes with the final words of donald patterson and his wife jenny inside the burning home. it was september 28th on mohawk avenue in northwest baltimore when firefighters were called to the scene of that fire. the first thing you heard from the 911 tapes is the call from donald patterson that went to

baltimore county. dispatcher transferred the call to the city. precious seconds were lost because the house was in flames. patterson tells the dispatcher he is upstairs and you can hear him calling for help. >> it's on -- what's on fire. >> my house. the fire is raging. >> hello,. >> yes. >> is there anyway yo you can open the door and get out. >> yes. >> hello,. >> help. help. help. >> reporter: that's very hard to listen to but city police say it is like lie that donald patterson was calling from a cell phone and the cell signal was initially picked up by a tower in baltimore county. officers say it is likely much time was not wasted in transferring the call. sherrie johnson, abc2 news. the band that took part in the inauguration of president has been sidelined. investigators are trying to figure out what caused a death of a drum major. the authorities believe he may have been hazed before his death. the 26-year-old robert champion

it was like the worst. >> reporter: police are arrested registered sex offender 45-year-old john kravats and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol after that bus crash in st. mary's county. this happened last night around 9:30. emergency crews arrived on the scene to find a 3-car collision involving the girl's basketball team from great mills high school. the school bus was returning to st. mary county after playing a game in virginia. the three-car collision happened at buds creek road and mechanicsville road. 15 students one adult and the bus driver went to the hospital for treatment. all students have been released from the hospital. police tell us the collision is still under investigation at this power. reporting live in the interactive news center, sherrie johnson, abc2 news from there are more public hopeless school students this year. 66% increase from the past four
