have been filed. >> this doesn't present an antibullying seminar. he seems like a bully himself. >> you could say a bully. it's a scam it sounds like to me. he promised to deliver something and didn't and then kept the money. >> reporter: tonight at 11:00, where gill was charged, who schools he hit, and how much money they lost. gary giordano says he's innocent. he spent months in an aruban jail after going on vacation with robin gardener. he said gardener was swept out to sea while snorkling. he says he alerted the authorities and told them what happened. he also addressed the accidental death insurance policy on gardener. he says it was part of a standard travel package.

aruban prosecutors say they will continue to pursue the case. next up, in this robo call case, former governor robert erlick today -- an obstruction gaens charge against erlick's aide. the judge says there was not enough evidence. today is world aids day. and today marks 30 years since the first cases were reported. nearly 30 million people have died from aidz related ill -- aids related illness since the disease was discovered in 1981. and millions are still infected with aidz. but they're -- aids. but they're living longer, more productive lives. president obama announced his administration will redirect $50 million for hiv/aids treatment here in the u.s. >> we can end this pandemic. we can beat this disease. we can win this fight. we just

have to keep at it. steady, persistent. today, tomorrow, every day. until we get to 0. >> reporter: >> and former presidents george w. bush and bill clinton also spoke at the evenses with president obama -- events with president obama. many people took time out of their day to raise awareness about hiv and aids including those at cop land state university. there they tried to set a world record on this day. but they also made a point of telling people they can live with the disease. >> reporter: as the nation observes world aids day, here in baltimore residents of baltimore city participated in an event trying to set a world record, but also bring awareness to aids and hiv. >> we want them to come away with a better awareness of hiv. that you do not have to be a victim that is going to be ill. that you need to teach people to live with hiv. if you're positive, you can live a

positive life. >> reporter: there are activities throughout the day including health screening, hiv testing, and educational booths with information on how to live a healthier lifestyle for those infected with hiv and aids. the autoimmune disease has touched so many people that many people still need to be aware and educated in this fight. >> not only do i have family and friends that have been infected, and i think that's the key that people that are infected, but it affects all of us. and this is an opportunity for us to stand in solidarity. >> we're all coming together for a general call. and the other thing is just awareness itself. basic awareness of this illness. >> reporter: this is the second year that baltimore has attempted to break the guinness book of world records by forming a human red ribbon. they came up short of the record despite the fact that about a thousand students, local businesses, and

community leaders from baltimore and beyond participated. however, the event was more than just trying to break a record. >> it's important to be aware of our bodies and what's going on with our body, and be safe and wise about the decisions that we make as it relates to our bodies. >> and as he told us, even though state fell short of the record, the real goal was to raise awareness that those with hiv and aids can still lead normal lives. tonight, second public hearing is going to be held on the planned merger between synergy and excelon. the commission is deciding whether to approve the proposed $7.9 billion deal. and tonight's meeting will take place at the war memorial building in downtown baltimore. another one will be on tuesday in annapolis, and both meetings will start at 7:00.

>> reporter: folks here say it'll be the culmination of a lot of hard work by folks who have worked hard over the years to keep this small main street vibrant. judges will look at the hiftor preservation in town -- historic preservation in the town. they provide small businesses and the arts to bring in locals to shop and eat. >> it's the type of place that artists and performers of all types like to gravitate to. >> it's a cooperative gallery for county artists. >> reporter: there's still more work out there for the town before they can win. they have to put together a pact and letter of recommendation to give to the national trust. >> thank you.

emotional issue that you may have. not only do you feel good, but it also releases endorphins that are the feel-good chemicals in life. >> reporter: try taking on melatonin or sipping on tea. >> sit down, meditate, some people pray. try to look at really the positives, that silver lining in the cloud. look at how important some of the little things are in your life. and even that kind of positive thinking will empower you to be much less depressed. or in this case, much less sad. >> the doctor says sad symptoms can get pretty serious. you can get depressed, irritable, and gain weight.

nothing to be depressed about with today's weather. it's the first day of december, a little chill in the weather. 42 degrees. wind light and variable. not the wind chill factor we had to deal with yesterday. frederick showing sunny skies through most of the afternoon. this is our camera in the westrin area. a beautiful sunset to finish the day. talk about a deep blue sapphire sky, that's what we had all across the state today. maryland's most powerful radar all clear. ground clutter on the eastern shore. we don't expect to see rain any time soon. probably talking early to middle part of next week. temperatures running cool but not unseasonably so. 45 in easton, ocean city at 39. highs today climbing to the low 50s.

average high temperature is 50. we were a degree or two above average today. tomorrow will run in the mid-50s. a few high, thin clouds, nothing more than that. overnight we stay clear. educational background could see a frost at daybreak tomorrow. then the overall trend across the east coast, there's not much going on. a few clouds drifrting in up -- drifting in toward the chicago area. but that's it. this will come in friday night into early saturday. drop our temps, but it won't bring any other weather. and bringing that crystal clear weather we've been enjoying. our trend shows no change tomorrow. a few days warmer. that front comes through dry. you can't even make it out here on the map.

then into saturday, we warm back up again into sunday. the next storm system will brew into the second half of the weekend out to the west. could arrive by monday night, into tuesday. 32 overnight tonight. wind going waum. your forecast tomorrow, 55 degrees, more of the cobalt blue skies. and tomorrow night, some breezes coming out of the northwest as that front comes in. and that'll drop temperatures saturday, 50, 52. then we warm up again sunday into monday. and monday, i think we could see 60 degrees. and ttdz night into -- tuesday night into wednesday, our next rain maker. you love them, don't you? >> what are we talking about here? >> the blue angels. >> yeah , big fan. >> coming, the star-spangled

celebration, dozens of ships are going to be at the harbor, and right near fort mchenry celebrates of the war of 1812. and there will be angels in the sky. >> reporter: the sound of just one of the navy's blue angel sets. as part of the state's war of 1812 celebrations, the navy is sending their flying demonstration team to the inner harbor. >> this is the first time we're in the baltimore area especially with such a unique setting right on the waterfront. we're looking forward to seeing everyone out there. >> reporter: coming the second weekend of june, the blue angels will be here for four days with two air shows. what you can expect is one of the most precease demonstrations of any jet team in the world. >> oftentimes it looks like the jets are actually touching one

another. >> reporter: the blue angels will be based here. >> we're going to make arrangements to open up martin state airport so people can come and look at the planes. and we're making arrangements to have some of the blue angels themselves come visit the community. >> reporter: taking part in the community is what makes the blue angels so unique. despite budget cuts, the navy knows they're still a crowd favorite. >> every time we come to town, there is a huge impact. people are excited to see a show, and people get excited about the navy and marine corps. >> reporter: see the best of the best help celebrate part of our country's independence. >> the blue angels had to fly over annapolis -- canceled their regular show. this year they'll only do the fly-over at the
