snowfall in 2002. this time around, we don't have ourselves flakes, it's about the fog, bel air fogged out, roland park had the fog. downtown baltimore as we lost the lights across the harbor. temperatures mid-30s to low 40s. losing the fog, hang on the clouds and pushing to 60 this afternoon. a taste of snow in the forecast, we will talk about it next, angela has the traffic. look at the roadways, despite the foggy conditions out there, one accident to report, ho and monument, checking the drive from 795, southbound, heading in from owings mills to 695, traffic volume there, look at the west side, around the bellway, running smoothly, 695 at baltimore, occasional brake lights due to the dense fog and on the topside, traffic flow, still at a good pace from 95, over to the harrisburg

expressway. speaking of the harrisburg, drive time, looking pretty good now, southbound on 83, from shawan road to the bellway, a five minute drive and you are on the topside, outer loop, 6 minute yours drive time. southern california, more than 90 hours since wind knocked out power to thousands of customers. some have been restored. 42,000 people in the dark waiting for the lights and heat to be returned. the worst may not be over. kuren redmond is standing by with the latest. 370,000 customers are without power this morning,wet reports predict that traditional santa anna winds will move in with high winds in the mountains, canyons and spread to the coastal areas, 300 los angeles firefighters have been deployed. the strong winds are expected to create critical conditions that can pose extreme danger

for wild fires. winds gusts 70 miles per hour are expected. some areas like the foothills are expecting hurricane forced winds over the weekend. it caused down wires, shatters tree, they struck the los angeles region wednesday. many residents still in the dark say they are beyond frustrated and at this point, they want their power to be restored. >> look at this blase, come on. you guys keep passing us by. >> officials in los angeles county declared a state of emergency to ensure state and federal resources will be available to assist with the damage by the wind storms. kuren redmond, abc2 news. mega church pastor is taking time off from the pulpit and taking the time to focus on his family. listen. i'm still your pastor, you will

still receive direction. you've given me weeks to take care of family business like you do. >> it's been a year since allegations surfaced that the pastor was luring men in to sexual relationships, the pastor settled the cases but never disclosed details. his wife has filed for divorce. she did that on thursday. a change of heart for members of a church in pike county kentucky. the baptist church made national attention for banning interracial couples. yesterday members took a vote and voted to allow all people of all races to attend their church if they choose. pastor says he hopes lifting the ban will lift the controversy that surrounded the church during the past week. horrifying scene for people insides a san diego restaurant as they watched a car plow towards them. the car hit someone walking in and sent them flying several feet. seconds later the person, they got up and walked away with only minor injuries.

latest on the weekend of progress. >> reporter: in a few hours, inspectors should be out there, to give the final okay, people who live on the outer sides of the building will be able to return to homes. contractors have been working all weekend, we got a tour inside, the project manager showed us where the fire started friday on the fourth floor. the roof is gone. the center part of the building has the most damage. it could take months to repair 15 units. services like heat, electric and water are running again in the outer parts of the building. luckily everyone got out okay. in one was hurt. there is no word on what caused the fire, inspec fors inspectors should be out there today. people ho high on the outer side can return. today lawmakers are making last minute adjustments as they prepare for closing arguments in the trial of paul suric. he is a aid to the maryland governor, you are lick.

he is accused of trying to suppress the black vote during the last year's gubernatorial election. suric testified in his defense friday saying , precepted a black voter suppression strategy during a meeting in july of 2010. we turn to a riveting new comment from former penn state coach jerry sandusky speaking out about the child sex abuse charges against him. he had a lot to say in his first interview. once again, when pressed, point blank about whether he is attracted to kids, sandusky couldn't give you a point blank answer. kuren redmond is standing by to explain. >> interview conducted by the new york times, sandusky maintains he is innocent of molesting boys. many observers described the exchange as uncomfortable. he had a lot to say on his interview since the scandal broke. when he was pressed about

whether he was sexually attracted to children, he couldn't give a yes or no answer. sandusky was asked are you sexually attracted toed ed to underage boys. he says i enjoy young people. he seemed incapable of answering directly once again. >> what in the world is this question? if i say no, i'm not attracted to boys, that's not the truth because i'm attracted to young people, boys, girls. >> after that answer, sandusky's attorney, sitting off camera, rushed in to his defense, having him clarify the question saying he is attracted to spending time with young people, but not in a sexual way. sandusky has maintained innocence throughout this investigation saying he has horsed around with the

participated in sexting. baltimore city elementary and middle school students will receive funds thanks to a public-private partnership. they are prepared to launch a library project. sherrie johnson is live with the details. >> reporter: we are here at the elementary middle school, this is the launch for the ground breaking baltimore city school library project. this is a great partnership. the foundation is providing up to $1 million in library funding elementary and middle schools in baltimore city. it involves 15 community and government partners bringing the total amount to $3.78 million. the program works with schools to design, build expe quip new or renovated libraries in selected schools. we have craig with the harry

five things before you head out the door , the task force to look in the death of a marching band member is scheduled to meet today. the attorney for the family of the band member says the school didn't do enough to stop hazing. fannie may and freddie mac agreed to stop a negotiate during the holidays. in effect from december 19th, through january 2nd. legal and administrative proceedings for evictions will continue during that time. today the u.s. postal service expected to propose changing standards for delivery to two to five days. it's not clear when the plan will go in to effect. baltimore ravens will host the all community team auction party, begins at 6:00 tonight in the key bank stadium. the moneys raised will support volunteer support and ravens projects. if you want to save money, head to the facebook page.

we have the thick fog this morning. warm day and probably breakout mostly cloudy sky. watching the models, some indicate a second area of low pressure will form when the cold air gets closer to us. that's a separation here, some models indicating this will return colder, dry thursday, others watching a wave of low pressure wednesday, could reach us thursday w a hint of wintery weather and maybe ending with snow. hanging on that one with 60 today as we burn off the fog. tonight showers, more fog and back up 40s the 50s. 62 tomorrow, showers of the rain vary, better chance of rain on wednesday. we are watching potential here of another storm riding our way, starting as rain but could go over to snow but falling temperatures on thursday beyond that, by the way, we are not calling stickage or accumulation but a hint of winter and highs in the low to
