the feinberg family is behind this library. we have developments. a police officer was shot in the town home community of pinecove road in odenton. that's where abc2 news joce sterman joins us. >> reporter: it all happened in this corner town house on pinecove avenue. as you mentioned, a baltimore city office are was shot by a baltimore county officer which raises the question, what were they doing in anne arundel county. this happened at 2:11 according to police. cops from different agencies were gathered at the town house to serve a narcotics warrant. they arrested the suspect. when the cops moved inside a baltimore county officer shot a baltimore city officer in the

arm. that officer had been on the city force 16 years. baltimore police are not identifying him. they said he was on the dea task force. he was taken to shock trauma after the shooting. the scene, they say, was bizarre, what happened after this police shooting. >> everybody rushed over to him and then they wanted to check on him. he was screaming because he was in pain. they went inside. at that point everybody was standing around. >> reporter: list in anne arundel county said they are not sure how many shots were fired. as for baltimore county police, we know it's difficult to keep things straight. they are don'ting -- doing an internal investigation. all of this stems from the

warrant they were serving. they arrested the suspect. his name is vernon jackson. when they picked him up, they were carrying 2700 pounds of pot and $900 in cash. live in odenton, joce sterman. >> we have baltimorenty, baltimore city and anne arundel. we have more information in the penn state sex abuse case of sandusky. an attorney of the victim said the former coach needs to stop victimizing the people with his words. psu assistant coach jerry sandusky showered with the boy in the locker room even though sandusky was never charged, it left a mark on the young man who feels he's being victimized again. jerry sandusky is continuing to

talk. he's facing 40 counts of child sexual abuse. in an interview with the "new york times" sandusky maintained his innocence saying his reported horsing around was not of a sexual nature. the attorney for one of the victims said by denying it, it's continuing to victimize the children. >> we're calling on sandusky's lawyer to stop this. stop this effort to manipulate. while he's trying to manipulate public, prospective jurors, he's bringing further abuse on the kids. >> reporter: the attorney represents a 24-year-old man known as victim number six, one of the first cases reported to psu officials and police in 1998. the mother of the young boy went

to officials saying sandusky showered with her son naked in the locker room. sandusky said of that meeting, quote, this is how she started. you showered with him? do you shower with other kids. yes. i said nothing happen. i said to her -- i said, can we get your son and maybe just talk. she said no, not going to do that. he said i feel bad about that perception, he had something that bothers him. i'm sure i said i'm sorry. >> sandusky seems like he's saying he's telling the truth and my client and all these other kids are liars. >> reporter: what angered janet, after he was under investigation by the grand jury he reached out to victim six and others inviting them to the house. she contacted police. janet said sandusky's attorney is attempting to manipulate

public opinion. >> why would someone attend a dinner with me who was a victim of abuse at my hands, and that's outrageous. that's obscene. >> reporter: at this point, the attorney said there's an institutional component as well where sandusky's actions were ignored by the university. janet said it's continuing to abuse his clients and the other alleged victims in the case. roosevelt leftwich. mayor stephanie rawlings-blake won the election for marks the first time she ran since she was sworn in in in january of 2010. rawlings-blake said she is

their child, et cetera. >> southwest west charter, thomas and east baltimore schools have been chosen. they see it as a step in the right direction. >> our students cannot thrive without books. love of reading leads to a love of learning and continuing education for our children and their families. it is my sincere hope that we will be able to replicate this so that every student in baltimore will have access to the tools that he or she needs to succeed in school. >> design work is underway and construction work is expected to begin this summer. kelly swoope. all right.
