hello, everybody, i'm beth troutman and what we do here at "right this minute" is find great videos, show them to one another and bring them to you so that you know what's going on with viral videos. here's what we have in store for you today.

fear and chaos. as a mob surrounds new york cops. luckily, there was a fire station just a few doors down. >> see how help arrives in the form of a big red truck. nick, if i said i was getting ready to show you a pool dancing video, meet three pups -- >> i'm mad about pole dancing. >> well this girl's mad about it, too. meet the biggest star on the competitive circuit. >> we're all looking for ways to save money around christmas, right? >> see the secret to making a snow globe like the one i'm giving steven. >> yeah? >> yeah. and danger lurks on a trail as an unsuspecting jogger passes by. >> whoa! >> who or what had this guy running for his life? we begin our show today with video of a melee that happened just outside of new york. i want you to know that some of

the people involved in this are minors. >> this all started when a group of teens from port richmond high school came to this neighborhood to confront a young girl, that they had been bullying. the mother had kept this girl out of school for the past five days. these students came wielding weapons. one with a b.b. gun, threatening this young girl. when the police arrived, two different officers showed up. as they tried to arrest the people who were there threatening this little girl, they knocked the cop to the ground. and as the cop's female partner tried to help, she was also knocked to the ground. witnesses to this incident say that there were 50 to 55 teens involved. luckily, there was a fire station just a few doors down. they came out with their fire truck and had to spray down some of the people to help get control of the situation. they ended up having to bring in

a police department helicopter. they chased down a lot of these people, nine arrests were made. we have a statement from the fire department in new york. they said no one was injured by the action, meaning the water cannon and both witnesses and police said that it did help quell what was a riot. michael oats shot this video. he lived just four and a half blocks away. and he said he had never seen anything like it. >> you know things are out of control when you have to bust out a fire hose to contain a crd. tal disregardorutrieboard, for l authority and for these authorities. >> according to reports, the incident that happened at school was a gang-related incident. where this young girl refused to take sides. this is something where their parents need to be called and said what are your kids doing? do you know what they're doing? >> two officers were sent to richmond university medical center because they were pretty banged up. the next story reads like

the script from a modern cop drama. it's pretty wild to houston, texas, we see some surveillance video from the inside of an illegal gaming room. that's not what the story is all about. you see this raid of what looks to be law enforcement officials. one guy with a an assault rifle and a mask on. other guys with plastic handcuffs. but these aren't cops. >> i was wondering if that's where you were going. >> these are guys dressed to look like authorities. they robbed this illegal gaming room and they had hit others in the houston area for about a total of $20,000. they're also showing up in a, what looks like a police car. and in a four-door impalla, complete with lights and sirens. police think that these guys may be related to the zeida cartel. >> if you own this illegal gaming center, you can't do anything about this. you can't really report this to the authorities and say hey, we need some help here. because what you were doing to begin with was illegal.

>> undercover police have been called in and they are investigating this. because it's a pretty serious crime to be impersonating police officials and carrying out crimes. it's kind of just like strolled in with their uniforms on. >> no one's been able to identify them? they weren't all wearing masks, right? >> the surveillance video does have some pretty clear images of these guys' faces, so police are hoping the video helps track down some of the robbers. what would you say is the cause of most burn visits to a hospital? >> fires? >> christmas tree fires. >> radiator caps. >> you will be amazingly surprised that it's cup a noodles. >> what? >> reports say that the majority of victims of instant soup accidents are children. and about five to six patients go to the hospital with severe burns per week. >> typically on their chest, abdomen and upper extremities.

we certainly do have children who end up with skin grafts as a result of these injuries. >> there was a study done in 2006 by dr. david greenhog. cup a noodles is one of the most prone-to-tip brands out there. it's attributed to the design of the container, of the cup itself. it's flimsy. lightweight and the bottom, the base, isn't very stable. so it is easily tipped over. and believe it or not, a burn from an instant soup is much worse than a hot liquid like coffee or tea. because the noodles themself, they stick to your skin. >> making a fatter-bottom instant soup cup so it doesn't tip over? >> funny you say that, that's exactly what the doctor has suggested. he went as far as creating a design which looks like exactly like the cup noodle container, except inverted. >> so the wider part is at the bottom and the thinner part is at the top.

melted. that's what you have to do, put him in an electric skillet on low heat. in about 30 minutes, he is dead. you have a toast to him. you present him in the electric skillet and then you plug him in and everyone mills around and chats and watches. in a little while, you stir him up, he's dip. and by the time that happens, everyone is drunk and stoned anyway. so then you just eat him up. >> could i put a whole bunch of sal salsa verde in the skillet so it looks like that he's melting on a pile of grass and when he melts, i've got caso? >> i never thought of that. >> what about flambe? >> if you want to light things on fire, i'm all about that. i have a gingerbread house that i'm going to douse with lemon extract and light it on fire. all the crazy recipes that i make up in what i call the charles phoenix test kitchen.

you guys ever heard of the human fly? >> >> that sounded like a jet. >> is it real or doctored? we've got the answer. a thief steals santa claus from a family's home. tell us what you thought when you watched the video after you discovered santa was gone. >> it was like the most grotesque feeling i had ever felt. >> wait until you hear from the two little girls who just want santa back. and this guy was busted -- still wearing the evidence. >> the cone of shame. >> you are so naughty. we kick off the next half hour of our show with some video from the great outdoors and steven, you have the story for us? >> guys, i feel like the next video should have the jaws music. like da-da. >> i know "jaws" was in the

ocean, but this guy's jogging on the trail. keep your eyes on the right side of the screen. >> whoa! [ bleep ]. >> is that a bear? is that a bear? holy [ bleep ]! >> yup, you are in fact right, nick. that is a bear. and listen to the guy's reaction and, i think it's safe to say his pace picks up a bit after running into that bear. [ bleep ]. this guy takes off and he continues to look back. fortunately for this jogger, the bear wasn't after him. now, this video was uploaded on youtube on monday from a guy in germany. he says that the video is from saskatchewan, canada. like any vdeo that we see on youtube, there is of course, a debate about whether this is real or fake. tralaet lot of themments, most are say, this looks pretty real and i got to agree.

this looks pretty damn real. >> the only way i want to get that close to a bear claw is if it's from dunkin' donuts. we send our kids off to school. we trust they're going to be in good hands. i'm going to take you up to tacoma, washington, where things were a little less than perfect on one school bus ride. we got from in our good friends in cairo, washington. there are surveillance cameras on most school buses now. what they caught in tacoma, washington, was a bus driver nodding off, falling asleep while the bus was going down i-5 in tacoma. a student on board the bus sprang into action. >> grabs the bus driver by the arm and shook him and said, hey, man, are you okay? and woke him back up. >> quick thinking about the student. >> i'm staring at him and he's just asleep, that's when i see it. i'm looking at him the whole time.

i don't know what's going on. his head's coming down. the bus starts to come back over and that's when i jump up and go say something to him. wake him up. >> you can't wait in this situation like this. >> there were two dozen students on the bus. this bus driver is 65 years old. he's been driving in the school district for eight years. has a spotless record. but a student's parent made the complaint about this bus driver. the bus provider sent a replacement driver and they made this driver take a drug test. there's results are not back in. >> you think you would have crashed? >> yes. >> if i were to sit there and if nobody noticed it? >> yes. >> at 2:30 in the morning on december 2nd, a heinous crime happened on the corner of madonna and edo in san luis obispo, california. a five-foot tall santa claus with a big belly was stolen from his home. >> that's a classic old school santa claus ornament, too. >> this santa claus belonged to

a family there and he bought it for his three daughters to enjoy. the problem is, the santa didn't even last through the night. santos has four motion sensors outside of his house. to talk about the video and what happened, we have santos by skib "right this minute." tell us what you thought when you watched the video after you discovered santa was gone? >> the instant i saw this guy take the santa from our front porch, it was like the most grotesque feeling i had ever felt. >> where did you get this santa? >> it was more like a gift than anything else. where's santa? >> on vacation. >> he's on a vacation. >> aw. he is, girls, on a vacation, getting the toys ready to go. >> what do you want? >> bring santa home. >> don't let this guy, this jerk ruin your christmas. >> yeah, santos, do you plan on getting the police involved? >> i figured the best police out

hunters and believers are all aflutter because of this video posted online. apparently, a portal mass ejection, which is a large wave of magnetically and electrically-charged material that was ejected from the sun has recently been seen washing over mercury. >> okay. >> and nasa stereo spacecraft took this video. and if you look closely at the little mercury dot, look just to the right of it. see that little red flare just to the right of mercury? >> yeah. >> they think it's a spaceship? >> ufo believers are saying cloaked alien spacecraft. nothing else would show up like that. if not for a cloaked spacecraft. >> cloaked. >> cloaked. >> that means the klingos are coming, because they are the only ones with a cloaking device. >> i don't know what aliens use

on their spacecraft to hide themselves. but believers are saying this is proof of alien life. nothing else behaves like this. scientists and detractors say -- what you see is a pixelated artifact from where mars was the day before. >> of course they're going to tell us it's some artifact or something. yeah, it looks like a ufo, it loose like a spaceship. because then everybody will freak out. i think it's an alien spaceship. >> i think it's an artifact. >> i'm going with artifact. >> who wants to believe it's an artifact? >> everybody knows stephen hawking says you don't want to communicate with aliens, because they're probably more advanced than us and would probably kill us. >> we've got will smith. >> he'll punch the alien in the head. >> welcome to earth. that's what i call a close encounter. bear head-butt take one.

[ laughter ] we're all looking for ways to save money around christmas, right? instead of going out to expensive department stores and buying gifts, you can make gifts for the people you love. and i have an awesome d.i.y. gift idea. the folks if household hackers are back. you remember them from the make your own fog and the halloween trick candy? this is make your own snow globe. >> you will need a jar, some glitter, you might need a little glue as well. hot glue is good and an action figure. stick inside of the jar. >> you can take any action

figure you want. i love that in this video, they chose mark zuckerberg. you take the lid to your jar and use your glue, your hot glue, superglue, whatever, and you glue your figurine to the lid. let it dry, that's a key issue. you fill the jar with purified water. make sure that it's distilled or purified water so you don't have stuff growing in your snow globe. this is my favorite part. of course you want glitter in your snow globe. but for the snow, they just crushed up egg shells. such a good idea. you can glue down the lid so the wasn't doesn't leak out. and if you don't have hot glue around -- here's the finished product. it looks great. glitter and snow and you know, mark zuckerberg. >> i wish they would have chosen somebody cooler than zuckerberg guy. >> that's why you have to make your own at home, now, because you can make it cooler than the
