in place around the mall and that extra security was in place went 19-year-old rodney pridget was murdered. police are trying to reassure shoppers that this was not a random shooting. shoppers leaving at towson town center described hearing a string of rapid gunfire. >> five or six gunshots all at once. and then two or three more gunshots. >> 19-year-old rodney pridget lay dead. investigators say they are still piecing together a lot of details. they say that pridget was the intended target. >> we know now based on the investigation so far that this absolutely was not a random act of violence. this was absolutely not a robbery. >> according to police, pridget

and the suspect were both inside the mall. police are not saying if they appeared to be arguing or in some kind of altercation on the tape. >> we are looking at technology that was deployed inside and required by county code on the outside. we're looking into all the circumstances that you would look into to try to understand what is to place. >> the victim spent most of this life welfare. his former attorney said pridget was on as a way to making progress in his life. police say they want shoppers to feel safe. >> we're always looking to make sure everything is ok. i hear there's always issues at the mall. i'm devastated.

>> our shoppers are safe in baltimore county. we want our citizens to come out and feel safe with their family and their children. we're optimistic that we will clear this case. >> but so far no arrests have been made in this murder. rob roblin, wbal-tv 11 news. >> 8 university student appears in court since being charged with murdering a fellow student. a judge has said bail at $ 350,000. investigators say the murder happened last month. the woman claimed somebody else stabbed to mccoy. >> and historic homecoming at the airport.

with light volume. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. now let's get the latest on the buses and the trains. for that we go to kurt kronke of the mta system. good morning. >> good morning. we have a delay on the marc trains. 511 running 10 minutes late. brunswick trains are on schedule. metro subway on time. a diversion at northern parkway. i'm kurt kronke. now back to ava marie. >> good morning. a better chance for rain as we head through this wednesday. you'll notice how warm the temperatures are right now. the warm air coming in from the south. there are some showers showing up. this looks more menacing than it is. most of these showers are like in nature. we have some showers building back near frederick and these will be moving east throughout the day.

a better chance for rain as the day progresses. a lot of clouds in place. we have a cold front that moved in yesterday and dropped the temperature in the northern part of the state. that cold front is slipping back as a warm front allows the warm air to push back in. the cold front will swing from the west and will increase our chance for rain and we will see cooler weather. people starting to travel for the holidays. no major delays at the airport. rain should slow things down to just a little bit. there could be a minor setbacks because of the what weather -- wet weather. they're still all the snow on the ground in the plains. seattle looks dry.

a shot of rain in montana. we have the likelihood of rain in the forecast. 50 degrees at the inner harbor. 50 in ocean city. 40 in hagerstown. most of these temperatures are close to where we should be in the afternoon. we get even warmer, 15 degrees above normal this afternoon. mostly cloudy skies. showers are likely. as the day progresses, they become more likely. showers will end tonight. we dry out tomorrow. another chance for rain thursday night into friday morning. we will be back to where we should be temperature-wise. may 40's saturday and sunday. a storm system looks mostly to go to war south on christmas day. if there is any precipitation on

sunday, it is most likely to be reain. >> a man who led police on a chase through parts of maryland is convicted in a washington county court room. he led police up interstate 81 in a tractor-trailer of december of last year. a sentencing date has not been set. the owner of a liquor store it is sentenced. the man will spend three years and 10 months in prison. he pleaded guilty in june. prosecutors say he bribed a police officer to help pump smuggle products and gave money to johnson in exchange for permits and favorable legislation. johnson was sentenced this month

>> back to work for the ravens. they need to beat the cleveland browns. that help keep the ravens home field hopes in tact and a position as a bye team in perfect situation. the last time the ravens faced the browns, ray rice ran for over 200 yards. the ravens are trying to go 8-0 at home. on the road, the ravens have a losing record this year, 3-4. you have to take care of christmas and cleveland. >> i think the fact that we have not won as many games on the road is disappointing.
