we're in the low 40s now. we're looking for 30s, though. 30s as we work into the overnight and even some upper 20s on the map i think by daybreak tomorrow. 43 out at umbc. take a look at baltimore through the day mostly sunny skies in the afternoon. same scenario. a mix of sun and clouds here and also hey why not go a little further south el could it city a nice looking finish to the day weather wise as the sun goes down. still some of the shortest days of the year. maryland's most powerful radar showing not a thing bone dry that's the case tonight and early tomorrow. but by tomorrow night we expect to see some decent rain out there. temperatures low to mid 40s but again dropping quickly here through the remainder of the evening. we're topping out near 50 today. so a couple of degrees above average today but you won't notice it for long those air temps dropping pretty sharply overnight. across the region a few clouds

no precipitation except to the south and west where we have our next rainmaker developing over arkansas hitting memphis and northern mississippi and alabama. this is our rainmaker that will continue to cross the eastern u. s. overnight arriving in here midday tomorrow. and that is certainly going to mean a period of steady rain at times. we think through the day tomorrow. air temps nowhere near cold enough to support any kind of wintry weather though. so i think we're looking fine in that sense except for maybe garrett county, a county the cumberland plateau there could be wintry weather in the mix. and really as it pulls out tomorrow night. this is 6:00 tomorrow you can see some fairly heavy and steady rain across the state. we'll still have some showers wrapping around the backside of this later tomorrow night. snow for ohio. some of that snow shower action could get into extreme western maryland maybe a fresh inch or two places like wisp, maybe you go out there tomorrow afternoon
