evening. we are dry at 6:31 and here's angela with traffic. >> reporter: getting ready to head off for the monday morning we are in pretty good shape a few early morning incidents but we have all of those out of the way. and we are starting to see brief delays especially around the west side of the beltway. here's a live look at 95 passing maryland 175. no delays to report here but as we look live at 95 north of maryland 100, a tap of the brakes every now and then passing 100. especially in the southbound direction. here's 95 in rosedale moving well but a bit further south slowing approaching the beltway charley. little more than 24 hours is going to be a winner for the new ma'am sure -- new hampshire gop primary. ron paul is second at 17% and followed by john huntsman at 11%. huntsman tied with rick santorum and newt gingrich has 8% of support with rick perry coming in last at 1%. and abc2 news sherrie johnson

anniversary jared loughner has been charged in the attack. joe paterno's son has a lot to say about his father, firing from penn state and his health. linda so is here this morning with details from an espn interview. linda. >> reporter: he sat down for that interview and he says his dad wants to tell his side of the story of what ultimately led to the firing. paterno says his dad is anxious to get all the facts out soon. but he doesn't know when that will happen. he says his dad is in great spirits and fighting hard to beat lung cancer. that diagnosis came shortly after joe paterno was fired from penn state in the wake of the sandusky scandal. >> i think one of the things joe stressed throughout the time is i am going through tough things but there's other things going on over last couple months and you know there's victims out there that we need to keep in our thoughts and he stressed that to us a bunch of times. >> reporter: a attorneyo says he and his -- paterno says he and his father supports the new coach but he knows he will face

december 22nd of this past year. after a series of low turnout elections in baltimore, coalition of groups is calling for the city to reset the election cycle. abc2 news sherrie johnson is here with details. >> reporter: today representatives of the baltimore election change coalition are meeting to propose bringing the city's elects in line with the statewide cycle. this is all in an effort to boost turnout and save money. right now the city holds the local elections the year after statewide elects and before presidential elections. 22% of voters cast the ballots in last year's mayoral primary. turn out is 13% in the general election. some politicians agree with the change including mayor stephanie rawlings blake. connecting with the presidential cycle might be moo are popular because a move would shorten the terms of those serving. and new for you this morning, the tsa says despite extra efforts in security at the airports, people are still
