evidence there was blood outside of the residence. there was no one inside. deputies entered the home. they determined that this looked like someone had been shot inside. >> reporter: 16-year-old robert conley richardson the third had called his sister and said he shot and killed their father and he was looking for a place to dump the body. the state trooper spotted the chevy trailblazer. >> the suspect fled and was stopped in the bel air united parking lock when this crashed into a sender block -- cinder block wall. we were able to determine the location of the body based on information that was provided to us by the 16-year-old son.

the body was located in a pond behind a relative's place in the 800 block of gilbert road. >> reporter: he is being charged with first-degree murder, second-degree-murder and using a handgun. now according to charging documents, investigators discovered blood soaked sheets on a bed in the front room and could see a blood trail where the body may have been dragged to the front porch before it was placed in a vehicle. police need your help finding this man responsible for a series of burglaries in cockeysville. five buildings have been hit since december 6th. detectives have been able to link them to similar burglaries on paintersville and

reisterstown road. if you have any information, call baltimore county police. baltimore county police have charged this man with animal cruelty saying he tossed a yorkshire terrier off of a balcony. police say gary wallace, jr. threw louie 50 feet. he is being held on $250,000 bail. the dog was taken to the animal hospital. the maryland legislative session is set to open up tomorrow. we expect many hot button issues like same-sex marriage and the bight but the naacp is hoping to get some traction in repealing the death penalty. the naacp held a press conference today to push state legislators to abolish the death penalty in maryland. it was back in 2009 when maryland tightened the evidence

a case must have to pursue the death penalty, including videotape of the crime or dna but even that isn't good enough says the naacp. the group said capital punishment is rife with flaws sometimes sentencing some to death while being a burden on taxpayers. one person was exon rated after spending nine years on death row for a crime he didn't commit. >> it's time to stop fooling around with people's lives and execute real policy and kill the death penalty. that's the only thing that needs to die because it almost killed me. >> reporter: now the naacp also say there is is a clear racial disparate when it comes to applying the death penalty. they hope their message will carry weight with lawmakers in the upcoming session.

this may turn out to be the bane of his expenses but it's unlikely to knock him out of the top spot in new hampshire. today schools across the area could soon be getting more funds for construction. governor martin o'malley proposing $370 million for fiscal 2013. it would be the second highest single funding in state history. it also brings the administration's construction commitment to nearly $2 billion. >> our students come to school excited. i think it's reaffirming and now we have a premier school. >> it will include $15.3 million

tonight authorities are looking for a suspect. >> a 73-year-old woman said a man forced her to take money from a bank after she strapped what she thought was a bomb in -- on her leg. >> reporter: police in fayetteville, arkansas said a 73-year-old woman walked into a bank said she had a bomb strapped to her ankle and a man who had been holding her and her husband hostage had put it there. >> he said all i have to do is push this button. >> reporter: the woman named betty davis said someone was forcing her to take the money

out. they found the husband tied up but not hurt. the family could only describe the intruder as a white man wearing blue jeans. >> he might come back and everything and you don't know what he's going to do. >> reporter: police are still looking for that man. back at the bank, employees had to be evacuated. betty davis was the only one inside when the bomb squad came. >> she came there, was very cooperative with our officers who were trying to keep her distance. we don't know what type of device it is. >> it's weird. the bomb squad is testing the device to see if it is a bomb. they said they believe the couple's story, unusual as it may seem. 24 hours after a batch of

in tonight's health alert, adhd initials are well known by too many parents. some argue that sugar is one of the main culprits in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, but a new study said sugar may

a 16-year-old boy faces murder charges tonight. investigators say rob beard richard -- robert richardson the third shot and killed his father on moores mill road in bel air.
