now. these prices won't last long. domestic flights over the next six weeks are cheaper than over the holidays. a $400 flight a few weeks ago is now a little more than $200. the president of air fare watchdog said flights to europe are dropping as much as 50 percent to 60%. there's a catch or a knew cars. fees for things like early check-in, checked bags, those remain. add those to the total. plus, flights to europe are subject to a surcharge. fuel costs have been rising that could add hundreds -- yes, hundreds of dollars to your ticket price but demand is low. that's causing the airline to drop their prices. so experts say shop around. check a variety of websites including airlines and trito fly

the harford county teen accused of killing his father inside their bel air home has appeared in court. the judge denied him bail, calling him a flight rick. roosevelt leftwich joins us with more. >> reporter: this is the first of what will probably be several hearings for 16-year-old robert richardson the third. he is accused of killing his father on monday night.

richardson's half sister and her mother were in court to show their support for the 16-year-old. they had nothing to say as they left the harford county district court. richardson is being held without bond on first-degree murder and second-degree-murder. he is accused of killing his father on monday night, 58-year-old robert richardson, jr. he was killing his father and led the police on a high speed chase tuesday morning. in addition to no bond, the judge set a pretrial hearing for january 17th. reporting live from harford county, roosevelt leftwich. junior achievement of central maryland is teaching students about financial literacy. the organization focused on helping 20,000 students in the baltimore area learn to make and

maryland's most powerful radar. you see heavy rains coming up the corridor. it's focused on richmond, through wall dover. this will overspread the d.c. area and eventually make its way to baltimore where we've seen showers around, not just baltimore but the eastern shore, seeing heavier downpours towards cumberland. light showers but heavier stuff on the way. it will take awhile to get all of this rain out of here. first, show you some of the weather through the day. not a terrible start. take a look at laurel high school where the rain made its initial move out of the south. definitely getting wet. baltimore today sunshine and clouds and then the rain came down and bel air similar scenario. wet roads, what we're dealing with just about all across the state and ponding of water where

there's heavier downpours further south. take a look at temperatures now. to the west 30s and low 40s. ocean city near 50 as you are in easton. we've got 45 at bwi. winds have shifted. they're coming in out of the east from offshore. winds are 12 to 15. i've seen a few gusts up close to 20. this is going to be an easterly fetch that will feed into this rain as it moves through. it's coming out of the south and west. by the way, there are reduced visibilities with this rain and with the low clouds, down to two miles of visibility and it gets foggier as you get further west. if you like to sleep to the sound of rain, you'll like tonight. as we go into tomorrow morning, a big part of the storm will be

improvement. we know smoking cigarettes causes damage to the lungs, but what about marijuana. pot smoking may not be as dangerous to our lungs as cigarettes. the study only looked at how smoking affects people breathe. they compared breathing of tobacco and marijuana land looked how well they did on breathing tests that measure how strongly we can inhale. those who smoked marijuana two or three times a month were able to inhale better. those who smoked pot daily for seven years showed loss in lung functions similar to tobacco smokers. are you feeling stressed out? a new survey finds people are less stressed than they were a few years ago. the study found people did not report as much stress last year
