below freezing. staying at 30s with the wind pushing 40 to 50 miles per hour today. so the two major issues on the roads as we toss to traffic mainly bridges and ramps west and north of the city next two hours even though we are not look at too much snow, could get icy spots and hold on to the wheel because 40 to 50-mile- per-hour gusts can really push your car around. it's 5:31 with a look at the traffic with angela. >> reporter: thank you and you are correct. on the roads watch for icy patches wet conditions and, of course, the wind a big factor this morning. we have got high wind warnings already in effect on some of the major bridges. so plan for a little extra travel time if you can. got an update on the accident we reported on i-70 eastbound maryland state police now say we are closer to the howard county line and we continue to block a left lane starting to see some delays there. but no delays here as we get a live look at 95. traveling past maryland 175 we are good to go north and southbound there. here's a look at top side 695 at providence road. you are in pretty good shape.

decent shape from providence road over to the harrisburg expressway and a quick note good news for mt amount commuters all lines moving on schedule. charley. >> news time 5:31. it's cold this morning and roads are wet. linda so is live this morning at hunt valley giving us a look on the ground at conditions and what you can expect and linda as you said a few moments ago, it's snowing out there. >> reporter: yeah, just minutes ago we start -- we saw the flurries starting to fall and i got to tell you it's cold. wind is picking up. you can see over there, the flag flapping in the wind and the temperatures have dropped in the last couple hours. when we left towson this morning, the gauge on the car was 41 and that's now dropped to about 38. and i can tell you with the wind blowing and the snow falling, it is cold. so if you have kids, getting ready to -- getting them ready for school, bundle up if you heading out for work, give yourself extra time because as those temperatures continue to fall, you could be dealing with some slick spots on the road.

special purple friday. carnival like at mass fear with ravens gearing up for the first playoff game in five years. corinne redman is live where the purple friday caravan is kicking off in about a half an hour. and how did they get the guys to open so early. >> reporter: well, because it's for the ravens charley. i am here live with the ravens cheerleaders and mascot. we are here where the party is kicking off for the ravens. that is very special purple friday because it marks the ravens first playoff game in 5 years here on the home field. joining us live is the ravens cheerleaders. first tell me how important is it to get everybody reved up for sunday. >> it's extremely important. we are pumped and we need to spread the energy around the city and that's what we are going to do today. >> reporter: what's going to take place today at the rallies? >> there's going to be give away and we have panoramic photos we will raffle off and necklaces and cozies and a bunch of stuff. come out and get free stuff. >> reporter: for those who haven't experienced it how is

it's a cold start to the friday morning and the roads are wet. abc2 news linda so is live in hunt valley giving us a look at conditions and what you can expect on the friday. it was snowing when we talked to you about 15 minutes ago linda. yeah. well, that's changed. look. nothing is coming downright now. let me show you the ground. nothing stuck but i guess the bigger story this morning are the winds and how cold it is. look over there and you can see the flag flapping in the wind and they picked up and if you getting ready for work or getting the kids ready for school this morning, key word is boppedel up. it's cold out here. let me show you what -- bundle up. it's cold out here. let me show you what it is doing. we have not seen problems yet. but just keep in mind all morning the temperatures are going to be dropping even more
