school principal, and a veteran of world war ii, he is dedicated his life as a teacher, administrator and most importantly, someone who always thought racism, where ever it exists. he won numerous awards including in 1996, humanitarian advancement from jewish women international and a documentary, liberators fighting on two fronts, the students here, will hear from him at the fine arts center at 10:00 as part of the special event to commemorate dr. king's birthday. he is supposed to share a special message and going to talk about his book, titled good enough, one man's memoir on the price of a dream and that is going to be towards dr. king today on his birthday to commemorate that. he is going to talk about how

the costa concordia's black box was recovered and is providing information, it was perilously close to shore. within minutes, water started gushing in. amateur video shows the chaos and panic that ensued. passengers were told there was an electrical problem but the situation was under control. the crew hesitated to lower the life boats. >> we had to wait an hour and a half to get onto the boat. the boat was sinking. >> people started loading in to the life boats. it was chaotic. >> reporter: it took over an hour for the captain to alert the coast guard. he admits an error in judgment but denies claims he was one of the first off of the ship. he said we were the last to leave the ship.

delta airlines was diverted to tampa sunday night after two passengers became unruly. a spokesman says a married couple were seated in first class and demanding food and champagne and refused to sit down. authorities are investigating. no charges have been filed. former penn state head coach is speaking out two months after fired. he spoke to the washington post about what he knew and when he knew about the allegations that former assistant coach, sandusky molested 10 boys. paterno explains why he went to the members of the administration, not police when told an dusky was caught in a shower with a young boy in 2002.

government called for emergency meeting sunday to discuss violent protests showing no sign of abating after demonstrators anger about os tearty measures -- 6 people were injured, 1000 protesters clashed with police who used tear gas to repel demonstrator whose blocked the main road. a mission to deliver fuel to a town isolated to the town in alaska. tanker is half mile from nome, alaska's harbor after a coast guard cutter cleared a path. it was stalled by thick ice and strong current. the crew must lay a hose to pump the fuel in to a town. water main break in canada has flooded community and left a town paralyzed.
