we'll talk about the more significant storm headed our way. it's coming up. a utah doctor accused of murder for a late term botched abortion appears to have been extradited back to maryland. dr.. i -- dr. nicola riley is charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder. police began in august of 2010 after a botched surgery at this clinic in elkton. in howard county parents and police are on alert after a 9-year-old girl said she was approached by a stranger. according to an email isn't by the principal, the girl was walking home from the bus stop when a man in a dhark colored car -- dark colored car pulled

up to the curb and asked her if he had seen her missing dog and offered her candy. it was big news in 2004 when computer discs found by troops in iraq were found to have photos and response measures. a report shows that baltimore and its schools were included in that intelligence. joce sterman has the paperwork to prove it. >> reporter: we got our hands on the report which was declassified by the fbi. other cities were named in 2004, this is the first time baltimore was mentioned. it was made through the web site government addict. it talked about cd's which were corn sp turned over -- turned over to coalition forces. it contained information about u.s. schools. that information included safety policies, floor plans and

missing after the costa concordia ran aground. authorities want to talk to a young woman who was with the captain at the time of the wreck. diane alvear has the latest. >> reporter: this is the woman italian authorities believe may provide details in the costa concordia disaster. the 25-year-old defended the captain francesco schettino claiming he helped save 3,000 lives by steering the ship closer to land. she confirmed she was with schettino at the time of the wreck, that the captain was still on board at 11:30 that night when she made it off the ship. that contradicts other witness. schettino has changed his story. first, he said the collision threw him in the water. new he said he tripped and fell in a life boat while saving

others. this call between the coast guard and a crews officer recorded 40 minutes after the ship ran aground. beginning to roll in and thicken up. that clues you in on a new disturbance, inbound. same scenario in washington. again, we were look for the sun to come back after this disturbance passes to our north tonight but it will last as we go through saturday morning, more significant system. temperature wise, statewide, 30s everywhere, mid to upper 30s. two above freezing still in hagerstown. as we zoom in today we did struggle up to 41 at the inner harbor but some spots never out of the 30s. our overall state view shows how maryland is getting just a glancing blow from this system. most of the precipitation north of us, pennsylvania, upstate new york, but as is often the case, we will get clipped with a few showers through central and western maryland later tonight. not enough to accumulate, not

enough to create slick spots as you come toward the city. but this is really the mild system over the next few days. this is a frontal boundary pushing through with most of the moisture north of us, but our next system coming out of the south will bring more significant precipitation, could bring some icing as we go into early saturday. for now it's breezy. most of that precip is to the north. as we time things out it gets interesting. tonight a few passing flurries. dry through the early part of our friday. no problem through 6:00. things are looking good. watch what happen as would go to friday night. that snow. this is 2 a.m. saturday morning. this could be that southern maryland, washington, lower eastern shore, just rain only but we think baltimore and north baltimore and northwest and
