thanks so much for joining us and good morning, maryland, i'm charley kraussen. let's head right in for a check of your friday forecast with meteorologist lynette charles. >> hey, charley, hey, everybody. we are dealing with friday, we made it. it's not only friday, it's purple friday, here. check it out, we'll be colder as we go throughout the day. a wintery mix moves in overnight. mild temperatures are on the way again, though. this is what we have for today, we have a winter storm watch in effect through saturday afternoon basically for these areas back towards the western here into western maryland, the areas shaded here in the blue. i want to point out right here in cecil county, under a winter weather advisory. this goes into effect around midnight into tomorrow morning, around 10:00. so, again, the roads will be a little bit dicey because of the fact we will get some icing out there. those details are coming up. let me send it over to angela. she has your traffic. purple friday. reporter: good morning, lynette. a purple friday it is. good morning, everyone. off llent start on the roads. first, a live look at traffic,

watch out because the fans are always watching. and stay tuned, coming up in 12 minutes, we're going to take you to alonzo's where fans are already getting ready, getting ready for sunday's big game. the caravan is under way. a live report from alonzo's coming up in a few minutes. 4:34. on to important news, a startling case of bullying allegedly going on for years. what happened to one boy with autism all caught on tape and what's happening now. linda stow is here with the shocking details. reporter: charley, this video we are about to show you is disturbing. if you're a parent, it's really going to get to you. listen to how an autistic boy is threatened at the bus stop. this video was posted on facebook. it shows 11-year-old caleb coola, a sixth grader at elkton middle school getting hit in the head while everyone else cheered. he says he's been bullied since first grade. he has autism and adhd.

caleb's parents says they've made many requests for help, but the school district didn't do anything when they asked them to fill out a report saying their son was being bullied. caleb hasn't been in school since this video resurfaced three days ago. but he'll go back to school. caleb says he is preparing for a typical day at school where he is teased and taunted by kids. >> they call me homosexual, they kick me, punch me and a lot of other things. reporter: school officials declined to speak about caleb's case specifically. but they said they have policies in place for bullying. police say the child has been charged as a juvenile. massive wild fires taking place in nevada. what you missed while you were sleeping and how many people are now being allowed to return home. plus new rumors of an

20 minutes until 5:00 and all the 2000 people returning home this morning after 82 mile per hour winds spurred severe wildfires near reno, nevada. a total of 10,000 people were forced to be evacuated. we know at least 20 homes have been destroyed. officials say a full assessment may reveal even more damage. there was one known fatality, but no other details have been provided right now. time for a check of the forecast here. it's a bit warmer, about 10 degrees warmer this morning, lynette. >> it actually is. and you know what, though, temperatures this afternoon are going to be a little bit colder

be inconclusive and the suspension lifted. bozeman went back on the sidelines for tomorrow's home game against north carolina a and t. shanaki -- jimmen ez took a long walk alone and made headlines. there was no school monday, so sunday night he had his first sleepover with his grandparents. an alarm clock went off just before 6:00 and he thought it was a fire alarm. the young man put on his coat and mittens like he was taught and ran outside. the 4-year-old walked nearly a half a mile before milwaukee county bus driver picked him up. the young man led police to his mom by dialing his number on his phone just like he had been taught. keeping up with the sports theme this morning, check this out, denver broncos quarterback tim tebow has a new claim to fame, an alabama restaurant has decided to put his face on a pizza. there's also a pizza known for the famous touchdown kneel. they call that tebowing. the 316 on the pizza is a

reference to tebow's favorite verse, one of his favorite passages judge the bible. time for a check on the forecast. let's go back over to lynette. thank you, charley. we're dealing with the wind chill this morning. this is what it feels, winds five to 10 miles per hour out of the northwest this morning, 29 degrees into baltimore. it feels like 30 into easton, 17 into hagerstown right now. so not as cold as yesterday morning, but still cold nonetheless, so you still need to bundle up as you head out the door. satellite and radar not picking up on a whole lot this morning, except for a couple of clouds trying to stream through the area. i will call it partly sunny throughout the day, the clouds will increase as well. this cold front will pass through this morning and we will get some sunshine in here. like i said, the temperatures are going to drop for the day as well. it won't be as warm as it was yesterday, it's going to be a little bit colder. make sure you dress for that as well. bigger issues to talk about, not so much the temperatures. future trend going to pick up on those bigger issues right now as it goes into motion for you because we have a winter storm coming in. you see it sort of coming in in

in news around the world, she was known for her breathtaking stunts on the slope. this morning family and friends are mourning the loss of sarah burk. the 29-year-old canadaian skier died yesterday after taking a devastating fall last week, all during a practice run. burk's family says her organs and tissues have been donated. rescue missions have been suspended on the costa concordia after that ship hit a reef and capsized off the coast of italy last friday. more information -- for more information on the concordia tragedy, tune into "20/20". they'll have an update on the ongoing search for survivors. the show airs at 10:00 right here on abc 2. despite the wave of tension between the u.s. and iran, americans continue rescuing iranians at sea. this is video from the latest rescue after the crew of the

u.s.s. dewey rescued some iranian fishermen whose fishing boat was sinking in the persian gulf. a u.s. helicopter spotted the men and alerted the ship. they'd apparently been stranlded at sea for days. i am appalled that you would begin a presidential debate on a topic like that.
