remarks. it's going to take place at 11:30. the program's resources will be unveiled. coming up on good morning maryland at 5:00, you will hear from the program, we will have officials life with us on the show. a commuter plane is smft investigated after -- the plane was headed to dalles from richmond when mechanical issue forced the jet to land early monday morning. the plane landed without problem and 42 passengers were evacuated and taken by bus to the terminal. a trial date scheduled for the new jersey doctor steven brigham, charged with murder for providing late term abortions in maryland. the other doctor charged has been indicted. no trial date for her has been set. closing arguments are scheduled today in the stun gun death trial of gray.

state of emergency issued for all 67 counties in alabama, severe weather killed two people and spread damage through a number of states, this is jefferson county, more than 400 homes were destroyed, at least 100 others damaged. expected to take all week to assess the damage in western kentucky after powerful storms rolled through on monday. one person was seriously hurt. many people lost their homes. several highways were shutdown. officials blame the damage on straight line winds, not tornadic. it was a very serious band of storms that came through. here we got a good rain. >> our biggest problem yesterday went from the ice in the morning to the fog that lasted all day long. it's lingering. a dense fog advisory, carroll county, and back in to washington county as well. western maryland on the icy

accurate by weather rate. good morning everyone. we made it through monday. boy, was ate rough monday, dreary, ugly outside. we will see sunshine in to the afternoon. i'm going to talk about that in a second. the temperatures, this is a bright spot to the morning with the fog. we are on the mild side. towson 40. bel air same. good morning to you. joppa 41 on the eastern shore, chestertown, 43 degrees. good morning centerville, around 44 degrees and also in to college park this morning. the big story, once again, we have the dense fog advisory in effect, a lot of areas, not under the dense fog advisory. you will see patchy fog throughout the morning and it will burn off. as we look at the dense fog, see the areas shaded in the gray, that encompasses carol and frederick, washington county is in on the advisory as

well until 8:00. western maryland, definitely a little bit foggy this morning and that will continue. the reason why, look at the satellite and radar, clouds covering the area, lots of moisture trapped to the ground and dealing with the fog. this is going to slide out of here, see moisture out to the atlantic here along north carolina as well. look what we have on the weather pattern. a cold front moving through the area as we go through this morning and you are wondering, when i heard you say the temperatures in the 50s w the cold front, you are going to get cold air. we have a pattern coming out of the pacific. pacific air mass moving in behind the front. temperatures are going to be in the 50s as we have high pressure start to build in across the area as well. things looking up for the day if you like the mild temperatures. future trend picking up what is going on. follow the timeline because we are not going to see much change in the forecast throughout the day. sunshine to be had. that will continue as we go in

to your wednesday as well. thursday, will be our next chance for a couple of showers in the forecast for us. we can see wednesday more clouds will move in here, i'm going to call it variably cloudy, as we go in to our wednesday. we will see the next system try to move in from the south and bringing us shower in here as we make our way in to thursday. for today, what is it looking like? around 53 degrees. the morning patchy fog out. there we will see gradual clearing, it will be a mild day on tap for us. tonight, temperatures dropping off, we are not going to see too many clouds. temperature around 30 degrees. we will be above average, but it will be chilly. a far cry from the 50s. in to tomorrow, temperatures coming in around 45 degrees, clouds coming in, it will be cooler. seven-day forecast, it looks like this, you might like it. we will stay above average.

that is a live look at the costa concordia off the coast of italy, where rescue efforts given way to recovery efforts, no more expected survivors on the ship. the death toll standing at 15. many are making preparations to remove the heavy gallons of fuel on the cruise liner that ran aground last week. 17 people remain missing and officials feel delaying the operation may increase the chances of oil leaks and bring about environmental disaster. it's sitting on a rock shelf. if it continues to slide off of the shelf, more problems could result. australia, officials are working to clean up massive amounts of oil that leaked in to queensland. pelicans have been seen along the coastline, one has been rescued. it may have happened during the refueling of a korean livestock
