appears to have the early lead coming up. and those stories and breaking news out of baltimore city. as we continue on this tuesday january 31st good morning. i am charley crowson and let's head over to lynette charles with a calm forecast. >> reporter: good morning -- into good morning. we are dealing with -->> good morning. we are dealing with mild temperatures. we are coming to the end of january. but i have to say hello, juneary because 60ats the end -- 60s at the end of january. it will get slightly warmer going through tomorrow and showers will push in as well. so i am trying to get as much use out of this graphic as possible. you are heading out to school to work and we are a little chilly but the temperatures are above average into annapolis around 34 degrees. glen burnie more of the same and arnold at 44 degrees. we will have the wind out of the southwest and that's going to bum. temperatures up. right now, as you head out and about you won't need any rain gear. because maryland's most powerful radar is dry.

let's check of the traffic with angela. good morning. you've been pretty busy this morning. >> reporter: good morning. and that's correct. we have been quite busy still dealing with an accident that's going to have a closure for us all morning long. joppa and old harford shut down with a downed pole and wires due to a earlier collision. the accident on the side southbound 95 at pulaski highway. just a brief slow down with onlooker delays there. traveling on 259, bw parkway no troubles as well as on 29. that's moving without any delay or trouble. here's a live look at 695 and wilkins avenue traveling in catonsville. police are in the final clearing stages of a fender bender on the inner loop at i- 95. back to the breaking news. a suspect who is reportedly linked to overnight shooting got into a fight with a police officer and stole a number of cars. one of them being a police squad car. we have been on the story since 4:30. this happened 695 and washington boulevard.

and linda so is where that chase ended and joins us live from west patapsco with the latest. >> reporter: minutes ago we saw two tow trucks arrive here at the police-involved shooting. we are in the 3400 block of annapolis road. we counted about five police cars here. a handful of police officers investigating this bizarre police involved shooting. it started last night in the city with a shooting. we are told the suspect ran off. a baltimore county officer later tried to pull that suspect over on 695 for a traffic violation. the suspect led police on a brief chase. the officer persued and the suspect eventually ditched his car and the officer caught up with him on foot. the two got into a fight and the suspect, we are told,overpowered the cop and stole the police officer's car and drove off, and later, abandoned the police car and stole another car and this is where he ended up. again, we are in the 3400 block

of annapolis road patapsco village shopping center. we are told police officers caught up with the suspect here in the parking lot. the suspect was shot at least once taken to shock trauma where we are waiting to get the latest on his condition. we don't know that yet but we did talk to an eyewitness a cabdriver who was in the area. he says that he heard several shots fired, saw a lot of police officers on the scene. there were a lot of helicopters, but, again, we are here live in the 3400 block of annapolis road. we are told a suspect who led police on a chase eventually stole a police car stole another car and ended here in the shopping center. he was shot by police at least once taken to shock trauma. two tow trucks arrived on scene. we have a hand full of officers about 5 police cars still here. we will stay on top of this and bring you the latest at 6. live in southwest baltimore, linda so, abc2 news. a new way to learn in an

unlikely environment a live look into the mobile learning lab we will go live to education reporter sherrie johnson. you are getting a lesson today? >> reporter: i certainly am and a interesting one at that. we are here at reginald lewis high school in northeast baltimore. students are using a mobile learning lab to further their education. now for the first time mobile learning devices will actually be brought into the classroom. five classes will use 30 new galaxy samsung tablets powered by verizon wireless 4g lte network for lessons in spanish 1, 2 and ap spanish. right now you are looking at students up bright and early already working on those tablets. verizon wireless learning lab bus will continue weekly visits to the school. and right now, we have danielle who is the assistant principal here. tell me how this mobile lab is

students into the ridge rouxton bidding has -- ruxton building has parents nervous. west towson was designed for 451 and the projection shows the number could grow beyond 700 students within 10 years. that's why moving the class is so appealing to the county. parents heard the plan for the first time and they heard it last night. >> we were told our building would not be touched and here it is several years later, and you want this -- you are breaking a promise that was made. >> they are concerned about the impact of losing classroom space and other resources. parents say they have enough to worry about and they hope the school system can find another solution. have you seen the boots on your kids? and have you seen them in the closet. one school in pennsylvania say they are no longer to wear them on school grounds. uggs are now banned. they are popular and warm and they are illegal.

passing and if you plan to take mta this morning, lines are moving on time. we are learning more about a weekend crash that claimed the lives aof three people a car headed -- lives of three people a car heading the wrong direction hit another. three teens died on impact. yesterday anne arundel county police released 911 tapes from drivers who saw the car going the wrong way. >> i just saw the lights and they are like and wait a minute he is on my side of the highway. >> counselors were made available to teachers and student at meade and is sevenna park high schools where the teens graduated. the 55-year-old victim in the other car has been identified as terry davis of severna park. it's not known if speeding or alcohol may have contributed to that crash. tense moments at bwi last night after a small jet veered off the runway. coming up, the latest on the incident and how the passengers are doing this morning. that's straight ahead.
