coming in right around 33 degrees into elkton and easton that temperature right around 36 degrees. by this afternoon we'll be at 50. you might want to take one of those layers off so you're prepared to move through your day. i'm prepare today send this over to angela so we can talk about the traffic. anything on the roads yet? reporter: motorists are having an easy time, we had a look at 795, the northwest expressway, it's moving well. also i-70 traffic moving well coming in from mariesville all the way to 32 and making your way to the west side of 695. now, for those of you who get off of 70 onto u.s. 29, your trip through clarksville to maryland 108 remains open for you. same story on the north side of the beltway as we look live at 695 and providence road. a quick update for our mta commuters, buses and mark trains on time, light rail running 20 minutes behind schedule from hunt valley to the bwi airport. over to you, megan. 5:30 right now. more than seven years, that's how long it took maryland's board of physicians to discipline one doctor accused

of sexual misconduct. his case, though, not the only one with a lengthy delay. abc 2 news investigator joce sisterman exposed cases where some maryland doctors were allowed to keep practicing for months, even years before action was taken. reporter: we found dozens of cases that had serious delays. it's all part of an abc 2 news investigation into bad medicine. as part of our story last night, we exposed how those delays apply to cases involving everything from sexual misconduct to drug abuse, even doctors who played a role in the deaths of patients. the maryland board of physicians is the agency assigned to discipline doctors, although they are often quick to act, sometimes taking just days to revoke or suspend a license, we found other doctors were given the opportunity to continue practicing for years. >> there are many reasons for delays of the board. and up front some of them are internal, the board has made a mistake in following through on certain investigations for a

number of reasons. we have implemented procedures to keep that from happening again. reporter: board's chairman says due process in these serious cases can take a while and that doctors who are questioned need the opportunity for a thorough investigation. he believes the board is doing a good job handling cases all the way through prosecution. but the state disagrees a bit. a scathing audit last fall is bringing serious changes to the board which is independent. we'll tell you about that and hear more of the board's response to our investigation tonight at 11:00. in the meantime, we want you to check out a special website we've created. it's abc2news.com/bad medicine. we put full coverage of our investigation right here for you to look at. you can look up doctors by name, by the various complaints. you can see which complaints are most common related to all of these documents. you can look up your doctor and figure out how to file a complaint. this is all on our website, abc2news.com abc2news.com/bad medicine. joce sisterman, abc 2 news.

peyton manning's career now up to him. he's been clear today play by two doctor and say he can now resume his nfl career. manning has been the quarterback for the indianapolis colts now for 13 years. he didn't play the entire 2011 season, instead undergoing a spinal fusion surgery. in other news, the super bowl now just two days away and in preparation the commissioner roger goodell will hold a press conference today to iron out the details. it's going to be at 11:30 this morning. of course on everyone's minds is what are you going to eat during the big game and super bowl treats are always important. so we sent out abc 2 eyewitness news' corin redman out to a local pizzeria to see what people are doing to get ready for the big game. corrine, you're in a ponytail. every stage today you're different. le you're working hard this morning. reporter: oh, yeah, working hard. equally as important as the game is the food. we've been cooking up lots of food for you guys this morning, giving you a full preview.

this is chito, he had the oven cranked up before we started this morning. go through and tell me what some of the things we're making so far for super bowl sunday. >> i'm going to sell a lot of pizza and a lot of wings. [ indiscernable ] we have the cheese. reporter: smells delicious. >> spinach, chopped tomato. we sell wings. reporter: i've heard there's 2 billion wings sold across the country. how many of these do you think you want to sell? >> at least 500 to 600. reporter: they smell delicious, by the way. also we have a subhere. >> cold cuts, lettuce and tomato, people love it. reporter: we got this. on the lighter side if you didn't want to have the heavier food, you could have a nice

salad and enjoy the game too. >> right. reporter: what makes your pizza stand out here. this is one of my favorite pizza spots. >> the quality, it's always fresh, the ingredients. reporter: you say that you're going to offer some specials for people. >> yes. we offer two pizzas, one pizza, eight wings and a soda, all different kind of combos. this would be a one stop shop to come in to get your whole super bowl menu planned out. you expect to serve how many people on sunday? >> at least 500 to 600. reporter: you urge people to get their orders in. >> in the morning, 10:30 to 11:00, that way we can have everything ready when you get here. reporter: charley and megan, if there's any kind of specialty pizza you want, chito will out for us. he's going to be cooking all morning.

the magic kingdom after this morning's tech bites. reporter: in today's tech bites, a new television network on the web. the huffington post says this summer it'll begin providing 12 hours each weekday of live original programming. the content will be similar to the website. apple is at the head of the class in the push for digital e- textbooks with its introduction of e-text books last month. ed begg brushing up on algebra and chemistry with hisipad. >> there's a lot of very cool content within these books, again, the ability to take advantage of experiencing something, streaming video, you know, seeing the genome rather than just reading about it. that makes a big difference. >> another advantage is students won't have to lug around 50 or 60 pounds of textbooks. it's expected that 60% of those watching sunday's super bowl will have their mobile devices handy and advertisers hope to capitalize on that with some interactive ads. those are your tech bites. i'm rob nelson.

news time 5:38. thanks for joining us this morning. no doubt about it, we have had some gorgeous weather lately. it's not exactly swimming weather, however, a group of talson residents really want you to think about swimming. that's because they're trying to save a proposed swim club in talson. talson wants to open a club that would open by memorial day 2013, but the future is in jeopardy. the decision in its opening now in the hands of the bank. >> and the bank just said they will loan us money, not all of it, to get there, but we have to have 300 plus members in place before they'll give us the money. right now we've got about $180, so the simple math is we need $135. >> and if they don't reach $135

ties to planned parenthood but supports 29 other breast cancer programs and 17 of those target under or uninsured women. >> the komen mission is about breast cancer. the work that we're doing is still needed and we're going to continue to uphold that work, and we are looking forward to our supporters continuing to be with us. >> plan the parenthood advocates are arguing that politics has gotten in the way, citing a recent investigation and komen denies those claims. tomorrow is the big day for the gop presidential candidates in nevada. they're facing off in the nevada caucuses. those caucuses come just days after mitt romney's big win over rival newt gingrich in the florida primary. and just ahead of that, donald trump says he's going to support mitt romney through this deal which comes as a surprise, as many reports yesterday up until around noon said that the donald was going to go behind gingrich. and this is what happened what trump had to say about that

announcement. >> i think it's general attitude, but the last two debates were very impressive. i thought he did really well, plus he's the one person that really speaks about china because china is ripping this country like nobody is ripping the country. >> trump told reporters if romney wins the republican nomination, he will not run as an independent in the upcoming presidential election and that may be the biggest takeaway from yesterday's announcement. hollywood would make a movie about newt gingrich, the former house speaker says he knows exactly who he would want to play him, brad pitt. look those guys side by side. >> what guy wouldn't want brad pitt to play him. >> are you kidding me? come on, newt. tmz is saying gingrich wants pitt to do the honors. gingrich reportedly made those comments after calling into a rich stevens radio show. gingrich admits saying pitt looks nothing like him, he's thinner, better looking and younger.

around the nation this morning, a 90-year-old tennessee woman, i love this story, she wouldn't let flames scare her off. she actually tried to fight the fire herself. she says the chimney caught fire in her home, the smoke alarm went off. so the great-great grandmother, she kept throwing water on the ceiling trying to put out the flames, but the flames grew and her neighbors called 911. she got out of the home safely and she'll have to temporarily find a place to live, but she says those flames weren't going to scare her off. >> no way. in the midst of a very busy tuesday night at the wallingford sonic there was a harmony in stall number 6. >> georgey ferreira brought in his appetite, had a guitar in hand and fast food on his mind and he decided he was going to serenade his sonic server. take a look. can i get another egg >> i mean, chili cheese tater

really cooling down this morning. and as we go into the afternoon, high pressure is what's going to be giving us plenty of sunshine out there. so you have to enjoy it. we've been enjoying the entire week and we're going to do it today. we're going to end it on a sweet note. future trend goes into motion. we'll start to see a few clouds starting to push into the area as we go into saturday. maybe a shower around 6:00, we could get clipped by that mainly to the south and more of the same on sunday. but i think for the most part we should stay dry, have the rain gear just in case if you're going to be out and about. here's that neighborhood forecast, into talson today temperature coming in at 48 degrees. sliding on down into annapolis, 52, arnold right around 51 degrees, and then by tonight we will be at 34 degrees and still chilly. and here's the forecast for tomorrow, 48 degrees with those clouds hanging around. let's get a check now of your traffic with angela. good morning. did you like my? reporter: who wouldn't like that, lynette. you're such a joy out here. the great forecast kicking off
