hello, everybody. i'm beth troutman. we found the best videos on the web so you couldn't don't have to and it's time to show them to you "right this minute". rescuers throw a lifeline as crew on a fishing boat struggle to stay afloat. >> you can see the water coming into the ship. >> see how violent seas make a difficult job almost impossible. >> don't mess around with a
4:31 pm
manhole cover. because that really blows, dude. >> play that again in slow motion. >> we have the story from all angles. see what you probably missed the first time. >> a man watches his home burning to the ground. >> but the guy seems to be more concerned about other things. >> oh, my god. we just put that [ bleep ] window in. >> but it's what was in the basement that had him really tripping. >> and a poor shivering seal is scared by a rottweiler. but then -- >> watch what the seal does. >> see him go all seal team 6 in one unholy turf battle. we begin our show today with some incredible video and the story behind it. this is video from the royal national life boat institution in ireland. this is a rescue that happened just 36 miles off the coast ofh. the fishing boat you see was
4:32 pm
taking on water. this is a 56-foot boat with a seven-member crew. what you're seeing is someone from the rnli throwing a rope to a guy on the fishing boat. he tries several times before he actually catches the boat. they finally attach with the fishing boat. and a member of the rnli crew gets on to the fishing boat to assess some of the damage. they actually brought a salvage pump on board. they go down to the engine room with a flashlight. you can see the water coming into the ship. >> the source of the leak, hydraulic -- >> imagine the sight of going down in your engine room and seeing water rushing in. >> were they able to finally take the ship back to shore and save it? >> yes, they were. they were experiencing really strong winds and they had ten-foot seas. in all it was over ten hours before they got the ship safely to ireland.
4:33 pm
luckily of the seven crew members no one was hurt. >> i can see how this is a huge challenge for them because you have two large boats and the waves, how do you control yourself even trying to walk on the deck of the ship. >> like the tow truck drivers of the ocean going out and helping to recover a boat and saving the lives. >> the time they waited for the rescue boat to show up must have felt like forever. >> another clash between people and police has created another controversial video. this time in houston. this is the houston free thinkers free show. they have a concert every three weeks to raise money. the free thinkers are sort of an activist group in the houston area. houston police have shown up to the free thinkers event because of a noise complaint. deric is one of the figureheads of the free thinkers movement out in houston right there with the shirt over his shoulder. he claims that police asked for his i.d. he said you don't need to see my
4:34 pm
i.d. i'm on private property. deric gets thrown into the back of one of the police cars. >> why am i being arrested? >> that seems to incite the crowd. >> is this a police [ inaudible ]. >> another man mica johnson is pulled from the crowd and you can hear the officer say your freedom ends tonight. >> what for? >> why? >> no! >> after mica jns gets put into the car, the crowd gets more enraged by what they're seeing. that causes the same officer who pulled mica johnson out of the crowd to pull his shotgun out. >> whoa. >> oh. >> at one point during the video the cops told him he was being charged with attempt to incite a riot. the d. afrmts threw that out. he was charged with failure to obey a lawful order. mica johnson was released. >> if they were truly out there to raise funds for their organization when the police came and told them to quiet down, they should have quieted
4:35 pm
down. >> the houston police department says we're all working to identify all the officers in the video and if we determine policy violations occurred ensure appropriate corrective action. video of a house fire to show you guys in taylor, michigan, near detroit, but it's not the spreading flames that are most interesting about this video. >> everybody get back. >> this video is shot by the next door neighbor. you hear the homeowner say he got his grandmother out of the house, he got another elderly man out of the house, and he got their cat out of the house, all good news. but the guy seems to be more concerned about other things, not just his house. listen. >> oh, my god. we just put that [ bleep ] window in. >> never mind the fact that the whole house is going up in smoke. he's upset over the brand new window. >> we just put that window in. son of a -- >> everybody is out? >> there's nobody in there. no animals no nothing.
4:36 pm
>> my turtles they're in the basement. >> i wouldn't go in there, man. >> they're in the basement. >> his turtles. >> nuts. >> he goes -- they're in the basement. >> oh cool. >> but then we get a little insight about how this fire started. >> i spilled my beer on me. it started that fast. i was asleep. >> wow. >> i had a wide screen tv that i just i think that's what started it. >> wait. so he was asleep and he spilled his beer. wait. >> if you can figure ha out -- >> i thought i was confused. >> i'm confused too. >> everyone is safe. >> stay tuned for the exciting conclusion of turtles in the basement. >> on a scale of what he was worried about most, the windows or turtles? >> turtles number one, window

4:38 pm
side and kind of stays there. he's kind of stunned. we see what happens to the man. look closely at the boys. >> completely startled by this, fortunately they were not harmed and fled. >> those boys are smart. as he's dropping the fire cracker they backed up a few feet, okay, we'll let you handle this. >> here's another angle. >> oh! >> whoa. >> did you see how high that manhole cover went? >> ten meters to be exact. if you see it, even took out an awning. >> on the way down. >> on the way down. >> play that again in slow motion. it blew his jacket off! >> he went from blue to white. >> wait. play that again. >> it like ripped his jacket to shreds. >> yeah. >> that was a members only jacket too. those are nice. don't play with fireworks, kids. let dad do it. dad gives his son the race car and says -- >> don't crash the car and don't
4:39 pm
come in second. >> oh, and don't drive into the water. see how he got here. and call him the reluctant burglar. >> he's having second thoughts. should i do this? no. >> will he or won't he break in? see the answer next.

4:44 pm
mom, right here via skype. was this video completely spontaneous? >> yeah. we were hanging out. i'm a photographer so i take lots of pictures and visdss of him. he seemed to say no to everything until i said a million dollars. i don't think he knows what that is. >> do you want a million dollars? you do? >> do you have any theories as to why the million dollars made him say yes? >> i think it's because he was looking at the expression on my face and i must have been smiling or something and -- >> can we ask liam a few questions? >> sure. >> okay. liam, would you like some pepperoni pizza? >> i don't think he likes the sound of that. >> i think that's a no. >> would you like a gold and diamond ring? >> yeah? >> okay. >> do you want $2 million? >> do you want $2 million? >> uh-huh.
