bunet and what it's spent for needs to be requested. most will go to improving athletic facilities, a gym floor and stage lighting and restrooms. remaining to replace lockers and make other improvements. the money was a grant obtained by michael bush who used influence to get the unused money for the district. republican members oppose the spending say bush did not consult everyone. >> i'm happy that a school in my district received the funds. i feel bad for the parents in the other school whose didn't have an opportunity to make their case. when you do something like this and leave people out, i don't think it's fair. >> bush said the no improvement had been made since the 60s and the facilities were in decrepit shape. motor tend auto show is back with the new vehicles that busy moms are going to want.

a family trip to a beach ended in heart break after a 3- year-old boy was hit by a piece of driftwood and died. the boy's grandfather and is a- year-old sibling were hurt trying to stop the driftwood from hitting the toddler. it may have been caused by shifting sand the state investigation is underway after a bus fire in north carolina. see the video there. the charlotte mecklenburg bus students at home wednesday. six students and the bus driver who are hailing as a hero, escaped without injuries. the dramatic 911 tape is released.
