mystic mountain ski lodge. investigators say a worker was inside the lodge, reporting the fire at 8:00 last night. this is a live shot ready to go off, you are seeing it come in and out of focus. look behind the reporter. the fire is going on. at the peak, 150 firefighters on the scene as well as pennsylvania state police and medics. we don't know the word or the reason for the fire. some people have been treated for smoke inhalation. we will continue updating the story throughout the course of the morning. two police officers are charged in towing in a kick back scandal scheduled to go to trial today. sherrie johnson has more of the story. this story has been dragging on for several months, almost a year. >> saga keeps on continuing. there is new developments this morning as samuel and kelvin, two of the 17 officers charged head to court. a according to published reports , there is new evidence in documents that show plition

traced over 8000 telephone contacts between a cell phone for the majestic towing company to 12 police officers over a 13 month span and 2000 contacts with 47 police officers. 17 officers were charged but more than 50 officers were involved in the towing scheme. financial records show, checks written to 13 officers, two not criminally charged, document showed the number of people who knew and complained was significant. officers were accused in the towing scheme of being bribed to push business to the domestic auto repair shop after responding to crashes. governor o'malley delivering remarks at the maryland network against domestic violence memorial service. the event begins at 7:00 , the group is remembering the women, men and children who died as a result of domestic violence

during the past year and focusing on changing laws to reduce domestic violence. police are searching for a murder suspect this morning, police were called to the 5200 block of darien in northeast baltimore, around 2:30 yesterday morning. after a search they found 27- year-old kendall staton shot, he died at the hospital. cab driver is recovering after being shot by a passenger. donnelly was asked to take a man to the fountain green road in bel air, when he was attacked. police are looking for the suspect. checking headlines this morning, a new york state senator and his wife say they were attacked at a niagara falls casino friday night. mark says it started when he tried to break up a fight and two men turned on him. >> he asked who i was in some fashion. i didn't answer him. he asked again. he made a comment like, you

a lot of busy traffic through annapolis, i-97, northbound 97 between 50 and generals highway. we are blocking a right lane. not bad on i-95, north of the beltway. we have delays on 295, bw parkway, slow, from maryland 75 to 32 southbound direction. traveling on the west side of 695, typical morning delays, 795 around to i-70, on the brakes on the outer loop lanes of 695. back to pittsburgh tbr the breaking news, live pictures at the ski lodge. workers reported the fire around 8:00. this is a live look as the fire is still burning. 13 departments and 150 firefighters were on the scene battling. this came from a scene from 30 miles away. the fire was seen 30 miles away. one firefighter had smoke inhalation problems. this is still on going as you

stat your monday morning. new video overnight as bobby brown, the husband of late whitney houston arrived at lax in los angeles last night. after skipping a new addition concert, he made a b-line to get to the airport to get to his daughter. press gathered around the arrival of brown at the airport. >> the daughter was rushed to the hospital. the police department confirms 18-year-old bobby christina brown was taken to the medical center sunday morning and treated for stress and anxiety. no other about the young lady's condition. we are following the latest developments in the death of whitney houston. the coroner says an autopsy is complete. it maybe weeks to determine what killed her.

to the life and legacy she leaves behind. man treated at a hospital after being shot by police. 35-year-old leon is accused of accelerating a pickup truck towards police officers. two officers saw it happening and opened fire. they have been put on leave and initially a court appearance was held for spry at the hospital. he is ordered jailed on $300,000 bond immediately after he gets out of the jail. baltimore police commissioner in court today, this morning, his department is sued by the aclu. a a spectator caught police in the act. >> a hearing taking place involving a man videotaping police making an arrest at the

preakness. sharp was at the preakness may of 2010 and used his cell phone to record police arresting a friend. aclu says police stopped sharp and demanded he turnover his phone. officers took the phone, deleted the video and other videos he had on his phone. the police commissioner will ask the judge to dismiss the case or a judgment in their favor. the department says they have a new policy that allows citizens to videotape officers in public as long as they are not violating any law which in this case, police argue sharp was loitering and his phone was taken away. the hear willing take place at 10:00 in u.s. district court in downtown. linda so, abc2 news. murder trial for george huguely will continue in charlottesville, virginia, accused of killing yeardly love, both students at the university of virginia. in court on friday, huguely cried as he watched video of himself told his former girlfriend was dead.

let's talk about the weather. we have been talking about the temperatures and the windchill, it feels like we are in the teens, you've heard me talk about the dew points or measure of the moisture in the air, or in the teens this morning. a big factor in the weather. we are going to be plenty of sunshine in here, courtesy of high pressure this will slide off towards the east, allowing for the next system to move in. you can see it back off towards the west, snow, already trying to push in, closer to indiana, illinois right now, but, as it works in to our area, you saw the dry dew points. it will evaporate before it

the temperature around 50 degrees. let's get a check of the traffic with angela. good morning, on the roads right now, a very busy ride for a lot of people for the monday morning commute. had an accident on i-97, getting out of annapolis, between 50, and generals highway. the good news is the accident has been moved off the roadway, on the shoulder, lanes are open, still we are moving slowly there. still moving slow eastbound i- 70, eler disabled at marriottsville road. traffic is getting by. we are seeing delay there is. not bad on this stretch of the bw parkway and 695 if you are traveling on topside of 695, moving at a crawl, outer loop start before i-95, hassing harford heading to providence road. thank you for joining us, we have been talking about music, i posted on facebook, favorite whitney houston song.
