yearly love, and some injuries are disturbing. let me give you a sample. bruising on her chin, and abrasion under her lip, laceration and contusion in her lip, probably from rubbing against her teeth. bruising around her right eye, and abrasion on her upper cheek that runs up to the eye, and underside of her upper lip was torn. he described visibility bruises on the right calf and knee, right leg, and thigh, her left lower leg, more bruises, more bruisings on the left forearm, large bruise over the knuckle of her left index finger, and small round bruises on her chest. which the medical examiner said are typically caused by somebody grabbing somebody, caused by fingers, and a large bruise on the right buttock area. as for a cause of death, the chief medical examiner has just talked about a potential cause of death, and is saying some of

how we have a nice sunny day, more typical of what we've seen, mid-40s out there now, after 207ing out in the mid- to upper 40s across most of the state of maryland. west winds around 10-12, what we are watching is already some fair weather clouds drifting in from the west. and that's ahead of a weather maker putting down significant amounts of snow in missouri, arkansas and western tennessee, so this whole system is tracking east and set to arrive throughout the day tomorrow for your valentine's day. we expect that to be a diminished storm, but there will be some weather to worry about. we'll talk about that coming up. >> thanks a lot, wyatt. if you didn't like the bottle tax before, you won't like what the city mayor is proposing now that was just one of the highlights of the pair's state of the city address -- of the mayor's state of the city address. >> reporter: the mayor talked about what she calls two years of progress in the city. crime is down and people are

moving back into town. she now says it's time for the city to invest in the future, and that means investing in children through an initiative, that means higher taxes and some things you buy. the folks have been selling soda for 50 years here, but the challenges they say they have to face now are coming from taxes, and not just finding shelf pace for the soda. -- space for the soda. now they are taxed two cents a bottle. the business owners say the new taxes will tear down small businesses pause it's not just about -- because it's not just about a can or bottle anymore. >> customers will decide to buy the soda someplace else, and gas is going to cost more, so they're going to go to that same store, location, and make the other purges as well. this -- purchases as well. this makes it another reason to

not shop in the city. >> reporter: the state of the city address, the mayor out lined what are three new funding streams to raise money. $23 million annually for school construction. one of the mom increases in the bottle tax, -- off of the top increases in the bottle tax, she says city children can't wait for better facilities. >> i'm embarrassed by the physical conditions of some of our schools. too many are without air conditioning to keep kids in the classroom on hot spring days, too few computer labs, too many with water fountains that you can't drink from. our kids deserve better. as a mother, and as mayor of the city, i'm not going to stand by and do nothing about it. >> reporter: the mayor did not identify the other two revenue streams she wants for school construction, but says it will

detained him, and -- sharp briefs then as he does now that his first and fourth amendment rights were violateed. >> the humiliation was enormous. also i feel that it happening at a place like that, what else is happening out there? who he will are they doing this to? -- who else are they doing this to. >> reporter: it's an argument the district court wants to hear more as it allowed sharp's case to move forward. we'll explain where the baltimore city police department stands in the video recording policy, and a moment captured this past weekend that captured ared the confusion -- captured the confusion over it. a pennsylvania judge says former penn state coach gentlemen yes can have -- jerry sandusky can have visits with his grandchildren. we have more on the decision.

>> reporter: sandusky and his attorney were just in court at the end of last week, asking the judge for more freedom, and today, they got the ruling they were hoping for. sandusky will still have to stay inside, until he faces the child sex abuse charges against him at trial, but now, he is allowed to have contact with his grandchildren. the judge also weighed in on the make up of the jury he will face. it will be made of people that live near penn state university. he is facing 52 criminal counts for what prosecutors say is sexual abuse of 15 boys. >> the administrator charged with lying to the grand jury investigating sandusky is now asking the judge to throw out his case. tim curley filed motions argue the death of jo paterno means -- joe paterno, means the prosecutors have no second witness to load up the perjury

first found her voice, now, new jersey's new hope baptist church will be where her loved ones celebrate her life. monday, authorities revealed new details surrounding her death. they said by the time a member of houston's staff found her in the bathtub, she was unconscious and under water. they tried cpr, but it was too late. coroner would not say whether drugs were a factor in the death or if she drowned many he did confirm prescription medication was found in the hotel room, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. >> no matter what medications they are taking until we call a toxicology, and what's in the system, we won't speculate. >> reporter: investigators are paying close taken to her actions, in the days preceding heir death. days she spent partying hard reportedly. this is houston early friday morning, singing at a party. the pictures were snapped as see left. she seemed disoriented and in need of assistance. her daughter was there.

be tracking much further east, and so we're likely to see some rain showers, and perhaps some spots of snow showers early tomorrow, then just rain showers midday, and we're talking about perhaps a light mix tomorrow night before it blows out. you can see impressive looking storm, on our satellite radar composite. and, you know, a well-defined area of low pressure, but as it encounters dry air to the earings we think the moisture will split to the south, and it will make basically for a minimal event around baltimore tomorrow for your valentine's day. future trend, as it tracks east, the potential for a couple of winter showers towards 8, 9, 10, 11:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, the moisture splitting to the south, so we don't get much, but some light showers, and then as we work towards tomorrow evening, perhaps there will be enough moisture around to spark some rain and or mixed type showers. slick spots possible, not very likely tomorrow, temperatures will go well above freezing. overnight tonight, 28.

in the health alert, new research found breast cancer patients don't feel like they have the control over the body they want. researchers surveyed 683 women with breast cancer, and found 28 out of 100 wanted to leave the treatment estimations to the doctors. but -- decisions to the doctors. the results of the study were published the journal of clinical oncology online. new study found when it come to the elderly, the more you eat, the less you may remember. researchers say older people who consume more than 2143 calories a day doubles the risk of memory loss compared to the peers who consumed fewer than 1500 calories a day. the results of the study were
