getting up to the minute, a former baltimore city police officer is behind bars, facing child sex charges for the first time. former officer troy gee lost his job a few years ago after allegedly molesting a girl. he also assaulted a 13-year-old girl in his basement. the murder trial of george huguely continues, testifying -- doctors testifying that yeardley love died from blunt force trauma. it also reveals that love's blood alcohol level was 1.4 at the time of her death. a parking attendant died monday when he fell two stories.

breezy. how will the weekend look for all the love birds out there. we answer that coming up. >> thanks a lot, wyatt. tonight montgomery county police have released interrogation video of a woman lying about the day she murdered a coworker. >> reporter: this is something to see. we are looking at surveillance video and it shows what employees next door did and didn't do when they heard the struggle. want to show you brittany norwood talking to police one week to the day after she the brutally killed her coworker jayna murray in lululemon. she continued to say that murray was murdered and she was raped. take a listen. >> i was trying to fight him. he hit me in my head. >> she was very, very

believable. at times, when appropriate she cried. her hands were shaking. so she was very believable. >> reporter: he is didn't confess but -- she didn't confess but he is contradicted herself saying she moved murray's car. we're seeing video from the apple store next door. during the crime it caused a public outcry because employees flex door listened but didn't call limits norwood was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. you've got to remember this case. her mother wanted her in the cheerleading squad so badly, she hired a hit man to knock off her rival's mom. in 1991 wanda holloway was upset

normally ems thompson would be following. but with her new promotion as the first african-american female lieutenant in the baltimore county fire department, she now has more responsibilities and administrative duties that take her away from her first love. >> i'm going to miss actually being on the truck and the patient interact. like you said, it's my heart. >> reporter: lieutenant thompson is trained and feels this will help her with her new administrative duties. she remembers the day that changed her life. >> i spent three years as an administrative assistant with the federal burrow of investigations and in september of 2001 we all know what happened there and the amount of help and assistance and everything that was given to the

city inspired me to get into that field. >> reporter: in baltimore county from the year 2010 there were 117,000 service calls and approximately 87,000 or 75% of those were ems calls. thompson is looking forward to new challenges ahead of her and want people to know that ems is a good way to give back to the community. >> i believe as you reach for your success, you should always reach back to bring someone with you. >> reporter: lieutenant thompson believes that ems is a wonderful career for men and women. you should need to apply yourself. who knows. he is could become the first african-american battalion chief. >> congratulations. first female to join the fire department was in 1978. she also becan't the first

news from around the nation starts off in maine where a high school football coach and junior high teacher has resigned after accidentally posting a nude picture of himself on facebook. he meant to post it to his girlfriend but accidentally made it public. he took it down within minutes a student saw it and a parent reported it. >> you have to be cautious, especially in you're a teacher. >> the school superintendent said this was an unfortunate accident. the school district did start an investigation but that ended

when the teacher resigned. it seems like there's a starbucks on just abo every street corner. now there's one on a ski slope. it has opened up at squaw valley and sits about 8,000 feet up. you can ski up to the window, order your cappuccino and ski away. it took a year from starting the idea until they opened it. you just don't have to ski love with your latte. you can enjoy the view from the outside. what a cool idea. hot coffee on the slopes, not a bad idea. it has not been very winter like, a few showers this valentine's evening. we've got the wiper cam going. not bad when you think about some of the frigid valentine's we can get. take you on a few of your cameras across the state.

ocean city, you know, with a mix of sun and clouds at the beach, not a bad day with temperatures reaching up to near 50. in baltimore light breezes on federal hill and a lot of sunshine. we thought we would get to near 50. we ended new the mid-50s. snow on the ground in extreme western maryland but not much, not by early to mid-februaryy standards. where's the snow now? northern pennsylvania, snow coming down here. it's all north of the state line. it's mainly rain showers across central maryland. light to moderate shower north and east of towson up towards the whitemarsh area and this is toward the lower area. most of us seeing, if anything, increased clouds. so not much wet weather but maybe bring the umbrella. temperature now 50. most of the state mid-40s to the

west, still not bad there. mid-50s were our highs, running five degrees above anticipated level. after we had the midday sun, now we're seeing showers, harrisburg north up into the northwestern corner of pa. here in maryland a couple of light showers. here at the surface it's dry. some of the raindrops are evaporating. high pressure and slightly cooler weather, we think tomorrow, but things have been tricky all month. we do know there's very dry air in place. even if we get decent radar returns, not much is hitting the ground. our trend shows a clear off tonight into the day tomorrow. a clear wednesday with lots of sunshine, a northwest wind so low 50s and then our next rain maker looking more significant and arriving into the

pick him. and this may be working. we go live to mt. washington with more on how santorum is doing nationally. seems like he's trying to steal a state that many thought would be mitt romney's home turf. >> reporter: he's definitely still surging. there's lap brand-new poll out. you notice that santorum has the lead over romney. this is within the margin of error. this is essentially a dogfight between the two candidates. we know that the next two states that will be voting, arizona and michigan. let's talk about michigan and what's at stake. convention wisdom would tell you that ram prowl should take the state. he was born in detroit and his father was the governor for six years. rick santorum is on top, at least for now.
