i-95. more significant rain coming down in easton, through cambridge and the lower chesapeake. bottom line is this -- still some rain to the east and showers around the baltimore area. the trend is for clearing weather. 40s, cloudy and wet as the rain continues to push out to the east. we'll talk about our next significant storm system. that comes the second half of the weekend. that's straight ahead. well, it tide up two of the busiest highways on the east coast for hours. a tractor-trailer carrying a sticky additive flipped on i-95 and the harbor tunnel. roosevelt leftwich tells us the driver is at fault and possibly in a lot of trouble. >> reporter: he is facing several state charges and a federal charge after he flipped his truck near the fort -- ft.

mchenry tunnel. police say this crash probably shouldn't have happened. police say the driver of west orange, new jersey, was drunk. he tried to change lanes stew quick lie in the left lane tractor-trailer overturned that tractor-trailer stopped, caused all traffic to stop on i-95. the tractor-trailer -- the debris from the crash fell over that elevated portion of the road on to 895. >> reporter: greasy is charged with two counts of did. ui in addition to a federal charge of operating a vehicle while under the influence. traffic was flowing smoothly but the 894 was closed for as much

has four hours. the barrels fell down on 895. >> they were fairly heavy, just by circumstance, the baltimore harbor tunnel was just about to be put in twoway operation, so all traffic had been held at that time. we were lucky we had to traffic flowing at that time. >> reporter: he is being held in the baltimore county booking. no one else was injured. now to the very latest on a fire in a senior community apartment. an elderly man was hurt and now he has died. it started in the 500 block of north charles street. investigators bloafer the fire started in the kitchen. the man went into the kitchen because his food in the microwave was burning. firefighters say he was wearing an oxygen mask and when he

opened the mask, the oxygen fanned the flames. baltimore's fine for keeping your dog on a leash is $200. a pet of dog owners said their dog received the death penalty. they said they were playing catch with their bullmastiff when the dog disappeared over a nearby hill. seconds later they say a police k9 officer shot and killed the dog. >> when i saw he was shot in the head and blood was coming from everywhere, i knew he didn't have a chance. i didn't want to leave him to die by himself. so i just comforted, tried to comfort him the best i could, and -- >> in his report the officer claimed the dog lunged at him. he also claimed his dog had been restrained on a six-foot's leash, but the owners are

high levels of arsenic. t.j. winick tells us which foods you may want to avoid. >> reporter: first, it was apple and grape juice. now high levels of arsenic are found in foods that use organic brown rice syrup as a sweetener. the main culprits formula bars -- >> formula is the main source of food f you have a high level of arsenic, you have to worry. >> reporter: researchers at disart muth college studied 17 different types of formula, organ nirks and it listed organic brown rice syrup as the initial ingredient. rice syrup is being used more and more for high fructose corn syrup. cereal bars are a concern but not as much as the formula. >> if you're concerned about this, you can read the label

raised its price others raised theirs and it's happening again. we'll look at maryland's most powerful radar. where is the heavier steadier rain south of queen anne's county, east ton and back through -- easton and back through cambridge. most of the area has cleared out. we have light showers all the way down into washington and around the immediate baltimore area, just some light drizzle, essex, dundalk. take a look at the conditions at the harbor. it's tough to see, a little bit of reduced visibility with drizzle. 45 the current air temperature. take a look at some of the weather through the day. you can see the rain showers on and off through the day.

tough top find much sunshine. that's for sure. as we take a look at annapolis, not much different, a wet scenario down on the severn river for everyone out on their boat, et cetera, tough to find much sun at the naval academy. wet roads, that's what we're all dealing with. but things clearing out, temperatures comfortable. our seasonable normal 45. 46 in easton, 46 in ocean city. highs today not much warmer than that, upper 40s with the cloud deck and rain cooling there. again, the heaviest of the rain is done for all the viewing area with the exception of easton and parts of the shore. those areas you will be clearing out quickly, probably the next 60 to 90 minutes. what comes next is the key concern as we go into the weekend. looks like we'll she nice clear weather to kick things up. as we look out to the north and

west, nice cool and dry weather. all that moisture is surging ahead of the low pressure, but behind this system definitely watching carefully for what comes next. it's beginning to develop. we'll check the trend. clear tomorrow behind the rain showers that will be out of lear in the next -- here in the next hour or two. then sunshine and 50s with more sunshine and some increasing clouds. this is what we're watching. southern rain maker will come up the coast sunday and still an unknown how much cold air will wrap into the back side of the storm as it moves up the coast on sunday. if we get more cold air that could mean some barely significant wintry weather as the thing begins to pull up. you can she developing storm -- see a developing storm. that whole system will begin to come together and track across the southern u.s.

there was no testimony in the george huguely murder trial today. the judge canceled proceedings because one of the defense attorneys is sick. the trial is scheduled to resume tomorrow. a truck driver has been charged with driving under the influence and negligence after his truck overturned on i-95 near the ft. mchenry tunnel last night the truck was carrying a water based concrete additive which spilled on the road. the driver was drunk, driving in a nontruck lane, driving too fast and swferring to cause the accident. arsenic has been found in formula and high energy foods. it's linked to organic brown rice, a common sweetener. the formulas were both played by nature's one. the company said the levels in
