are getting snow toward the richmond area. they could pick up one to three inches. this is far south. at most we get a few passing showers later this evening. there are winter warnings through virginia down i-95. if you are making a trip south realize you'll get into winter weather. temperatures well above freezing in baltimore. temperatures 41. it is possible showers we get could be a couple of brief rain showers. we'll throw in a chance for a few flakes. we'll talk about how things shape up into your week straight ahead. we have been following the story of an autistic boy in cecil county who was bullied by classmates and it was caught on tape. >> reporter: a nine hour party

gets started at the vfw. hearts are kicking and heels are kicking. pretty quick the room fills up and surrounds a lone boy. >> i see people are staring. >> reporter: caleb's story brought out big hearts in cecil county and worldwide. he's diagnosed with a form of autism along with adhd. he mingles and shows appreciation. boys in the middle school started throwing punches when they picked up on his challenges. videos that ended you up on facebook shows a boy touching caleb in the head and everyone at the bus stop cheers him on. you may wonder why weeks later they are celebrating. friends of the party organizers showed her the video. >> they said what do you want to do about it? raise awareness and make

everybody stop. >> reporter: cheryl never met this family but she was compelling and worked with a musician who enticed nine bands from four states to play for free. >> we were hoping to get three or four bands. within a couple of weeks we are turning bands away to a tune of over a dozen. >> reporter: even they were surprised by the support. not even the silent auction and raffle along with two donations go to groups that assist the mentally disabled. >> it helped us deal with this situation. it made it more of a positive. >> reporter: attention may be worth more than the money. not just for caleb but any kid. >> i don't want to be bullied a lot anymore. i don't want other people to be bullied. >> reporter: that mission is getting started with one long party.

>> organizers plan to host an event next year. thisthis year's event raised $2,000. 600 people attended. a 13-year-old boy died after leaning out of a car window to throw up, falling out and got hit by another car. hit happened last night. [indiscernible] the car was making a left turn from a parking lot. he then fell out in front of another driver. the crash is under investigation. more of this story is coming up tonight. this weekend baltimore city firefighters are raising awareness about fire safety. this comes days after elderly m

suffered in a similar apartment complex wednesday night. fire started inside the 16th floor apartment on charles street. investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen. the man went into the kitchen because his food was in the micro wave and burning. firefighters used oxygen mask. >> now to the murder trial. jury is expected to begin deliberations on wednesday. former university lacrosse player is accused of killing his exgirlfriend back in 2010. his attorney did not present closing arguments saturday.

whitney houston was buried today. she had a super star studded send off on saturday. we have the report from the

cemetery in new jersey. >> reporter: one day after the joyful noise of her church homegoing, her family, including her mother accompanied whitney houston on her final journey. she went quietly and private all to her eternal rest. she was buried next to her father john houston. it was a humble end to a life celebrated on saturday. a tribute to the golden voice now in a choir of angels.

of precipitation coming down perhaps a few flakes mixing in with rain. temperatures well above freezing. i don't expect much in our immediate area as we go through the overnight hours. winter warnings. absolutely. for virginia and points well south of d.c. a winter weather advisory is up. this is through 1:00 tomorrow morning. things will stay clear. they are clear now. take a check at bwi marshall. 41 degrees. humidity 55%. winds east northeast at 8. couple different abc 2 hd weather bug camera. it was relatively pleasant today. it was a mix of sun and clouds. as we finished out the day not a lot happening here. weather is nice. as we go into laurel things clouded up. still a decent finish to the day. in richmond it is a different story.

there was snow coming down. not sticking particularly well because the temperatures are above freezing. then roanoke, virginia is where we see the most significant wintry weather. here it is tough to make out. this is well south and west down into the virginia area. impressive shot well south of us. temperature wise you can see most points at or above freezing. 31 dulles. winds from the northeast drawn into the area of low pressure that's centered over the virginia/north carolina region. this is a fairly close call as regional snow makers go. a roll oh that is no hitting

the ground. you have to move south to find significant weather. as we look closely at the direction of the storm it made a move to the north. beginning to make a turn back south. i think it is at its most northern point. cooler, drier air wrapping in behind this. we'll clear out overnight. yes, we could see rain and snow showers south of us through annapolis, howard county even southern carroll county. again, it will be brief later this evening. and quickly clearing out. here's our future trend. storm system heading out to sea by midnight. 4:00 in the morning it is a done deal. we are setting the stage for crystal clear weather monday. great looking president's day. if you have the holiday off we are back in the low 40s. good tuesday. minimal chances of active weather through midweek.
