543 is shutdown in both directions. it should be opening momentarily. a look at the live traffic cameras, 895, charles street, looking pretty good on the harbor tunnel as well as the beltway, 695, exit 24, the harrisburg expressway. three people are dead, all siblings, one family is dealing with unmanageable grief. >> a triple car crash, route 543, linda so is here with all new information from overnight. >> we got our hands on this press release in the last hour, we learned the siblings are two brothers and a sister, identified as 17-year-old joseph, 24-year-old ashley, and 29 year-old david. they lived in the 1300 block of marquis court. the three siblings were in a shelvesly cavalier southbound on route 543, before 10:00, when it crossed the center line

and sideswiped a car in the northbound lane. the impact put the cavalier in to a spin and hit by an accra and the force of that crash cut the calf lear in half. speed -- cavalier in half. the sister had to be extricated. all three died at the scene. two people in the contact ra are in stable condition. the two people in the toyota were not hurt. two medevac helicopters were dispatched. police say the trooper one caught fires a it was landing. >> when they exited the aircraft, they saw that one of engines appeared to be on fire. the fire department responded with fire extinguishers and it was extinguished, contained to one of engines. the helicopter remains on the scene here. >> officials with aviation

command responded and moving trooper 1, working to determine what caused the engine to malfunction. as for the siblings, their bodies have been taken to the medical examiners office. overnight, bmw went barreling through a kfc killing a person. this happened on landover. the driver was going in excess of 100 miles per hour, hit a curb and airborne flipping in the air before slamming in to a glass window killing a person inside. four other people were hurt. road rage ends with two men recovering from stab wounds. this happened on route 3 monday afternoon. witnesses tell police people in the ford explorer were playing chicken at a red light. and a man in the pt cruiser was annoyed. the driver went up to the vehicle and police say he was stabbed. the driver of the cruiser sped away. the victim then followed.

>> he cuts through traffic and rear ends the pt cruiser. >> they jumped out of the vehicles and got in to a fistfight. and ultimately both men were stabbedded. >> the suspect was taken to shock trauma and charged when he is released. the other victim is expected to survive. students will return to parkville middle school without a classmate. 13-year-old michael true luck was killed when he was hit by a car over the weekend. grief counselors will be at the school for students returning to class. his friends say he was drinking alcohol and got sick on the side of the road when he was struck by a car. same-sex marriage bill. a committee will have that bill and some say it could pass by the end of the week. the track is now fast, see on the ballot. sherrie johnson is live with the latest. it's a big week

regarding same-sex marriage issue. >> it's been a hot button issue for the general assembly. maryland is one step closer to legalizing same-sex marriage. a committee will have its turn with the marriage bill, a committee will likely pass the bill to the floor of the senate. by the end of the week the bill could pass. this comes after the house of delegates pass a same-sex marriage bill. the same-sex marriage bill which was sponsored by o'malley divided lawmakers. the senate passed the bill last year and some feel confident they will do it again. if passed and signed in to law, opponents have vowed to take the issue to referendum, on the ballot in the general election. also sometime today we should know which way the council will vote on gender identity protection bill. there was a beating inside a mcdonald's. the bill would prohibit

a serious pest problem, bats. they have been flying in and out of patients rooms at the hospital in north carolina. officials are concerned because of rabieses and fungal infections from bat drop,. >> we sent staff out to retrieve the bats and we sent those in to the state lab for testing of rabies. >> talk about not in your job description. patients have been evacuated and most facilities are shutdown except for the emergency room. a company is sealing the cracks in the walls and installing a door to keep the bats from returning. a check of the weather, i have to ask, why the reaction to the bats? >> bats are so disgusting. they are like rats with wings. their faces. it's horrible. i'm going to go to something that makes me happy. the weather, we are cold.

we are seasonably cold. you said something about the temperatures in the seven-day forecast, i am going to bring a smile to your face and many other people i hope this morning. looking at now, we are at 27 degrees, baltimore, more of the same easton along the eastern shore. 21 degrees now in york, pennsylvania. as we go through the day, temperatures will warm up to above averagement we are looking at clouds trying to stream in across the area. clear but we have a system back off towards the west, and then we have high pressure in control, still, but what is going to happen is this will slide towards the east, we will be in between these two systems. you can see this line of showers, a little bit of a wintery mix in to indiana. all this will move towards the east. lit break up before it gets us to, the mountains and dry air, going to have to contend with that. i don't think it's going to make it. we are going to be looking at sunshine with increasing clouds throughout the day. future trend a good job of picking up on what is going on
