traveling on 695 west of the city shouldn't run into any troubles there. no work zones in place. south of the city at 395 you're good to go all the way up to conway street. >> good morning. lacrosse player george huguely has been convicted of killing his girlfriend two years ago. >> he was given a recommendation sentence of 26 years in prison. he was found guilty of second degree murder and grand larceny in the beating death of his girlfriend. the jury returned the verdict after deliberating for 9 hours. >> there are no winners in this case. there's nothing but loss everywhere. our hearts go out to the love family. they've suffered enormously. >> official sentencing is scheduled for april. that's when the judge will make his ruling so stay with us and we'll have a live report this

morning. >> first class bradley manning will be arraigned at fort mead. he's accused of passing on sensitive information. the arraignment is scheduled for 1:00 this afternoon. and the trial is set to resume this morning for the political operative accused of using ro bo calls impressing voter turnout in the gub election. he has said he didn't think those calls were illegal. >> in annapolis this morning th same sex marriage debate that was put on hold yesterday will resume today. right now with the details on what's happening today. >> well, today the maryland

senate will debate same sex marriage. discussion is expected to start sometime this morning. the debate was delayed after leaders asked for a postponement. they also want attorney general's opinion on the constitutionality of an amendment added to a version of the bill which narrowly passed the house last week. last year the senate passed a similar proposal and senate president mike miller said it's not expected to change. passing the bill would put maryland on track to be the 8th state to legalize same sex marriage if they pass the bill. they can begin collecting the signatures needed once the bill passes both chambers. and the new grand prix contract has gotten the groan flag. now there's a new company leading the way . the city's comptroller did not vote for the contract but the baltimore city mayor did. the new contract does have safeguards in place to protect the city from losing money in

crime stoppers. a mom sits in jail while her son recovers from stab wounds. she stabbed her 15-year-old son in the leg. it happened wednesday. smith told police she wanted him out of her apartment and he was disrespectful and wouldn't listen to her and she shouted, quote, i stabbed him, end quote. >> there were people arguing, don't do it, don't do it. >> he reported there was an argument between his mother and himself but the cause of the incident remains under investigation. >> smith is being held on $150,000 bail. she's been charged with assault, child abuse and resisting arrest. she wanted a hearing on contraception. >> what she's expected to tell congress about women's rights. >> plus, what problems drivers

just a breeze. as we go through the day, a chance for maybe a shower to move in here later into the evening. satellite and radar picking up on a few clouds out there. that's why temperatures are already in the 50s. it looks like a little disturbance might try to walk its way in here. for the most part we should stay dry. we do have a cold front back off towards the west. this will get closer to us. as it does it's going to stall out and then it will move back as a warm front as we go through tonight and then we'll have another cold front move through the area for tomorrow and behind that cold front, oh, yes, we are going to get blustery and cold as well. i say cold because temperatures from 70 to about 47, that's where we should be for this time of the yore is going to feel a little bit on the chilly side and that's where we add those winds in. a chance for some showers later this evening around 10:00 into the overnight hours early into tomorrow morning. we still have a chance for some showers in the forecast and that

helicopters helped those who were injured. >> ns guy ors there are sorting through the rubble. six people are severely injured with bushes covering much of their bodies. another 11 had been hospitalized. the injured were between the ages of 17 and 51 and older men. >> that's what those close to the teen may have heard. it was a shootout between a car jacking suspect and police in mexico. it happened on wednesday. police say at the same time of that shootout a woman was hit by a stray bullet. they're trying to determine if that was from the same gun fight. he was released from a french jail wednesday. police brought him in for questioning tuesday regarding his participation in sex parties organized by the illegal prostitution ring. guilty. the verdict comes down in the murder trial of george huguely. what the jury is
