have gotten every year is a nice deduction on their taxes. she said she is more worried about her children and grandchildren if the state takes a piece of the interest deduction. >> i think that would be quite hard for a number of younger people, particularly in our case it wouldn't impact us so greatly but certainly younger people who have large mortgages and are unable to take as much off. it's definitely difficult. >> reporter: the governor's proposing to cap the home mortgage deduction for taxpayers making over a hundred thousand dollars year. if the income was more than 100,000 you would see a 10% reduction. if you make 200,000 or more the reduction would be about 20%. >> tell your legislator. we fled to encourage homeowner ship, not make it harder. protect the state mortgage interest dedunk. >> reporter: the association realtors has been lobbying to get lawmakers to leave it

alone. they say reals state is responsible for about 20% of the economy and contributes about half of all local revenues. realtors say the market is sleepy now and folks just starting to wake up to low interest rate that are now available. they say now is not the time to make people think twice about buying or selling especially a 5th of the economy is at stake. >> there is some appeal but the weaker consumer confidence in how long they have to rely on the benefits of which this deduction -- are very important. the more difficult it is to convince the industry into recovering. >> realtors will hold a rally on lawyer's mall in annapolis next wednesday morning to convince lawmakers to go against the interest deduction cut. they are hoping to meet with many of them face to face as they try to step up their lobbying efforts. >> tens of thousands of baltimore city can county water

customers can look for credits on their bills after an audit exposed over charges on the billing system. more than four million dollars of refunds came from failing to check water meters on a regular basis. short on inspectors the city used past meter readings to assess charges and many hadn't their their use measured in more than four years. constituent has promised to replace the old meter was new automated system in the next couple years. >> all the meter also be replaces, there will be no meter reading, the meters will directly report in realtime the readings and i can access those it readings myself with my internet or my smart phone and see whether -- what's going on and catch it before a bill even arrives. >> reporter: mary said one woman got a 6,000-dollar water bill that was reduced to $134.

they are concerned he may have been doing traffic stops prior to the arrest. if you think you may have seen him before contact the baltimore police department right now. here in abc 2news we are working for you and asked police what you can do if you think you are being pulled over by someone who isn't a real policeman. >> you have several choices. you can turn on your hazard lights, always acknowledge the officer that you are -- not fleeing from them. we don't want a situation where that happens. you can always drive to a lighted area or a populated area and pull over at that point. you can also call the police and say that you are being stopped and that you have concerns that it's not a valid traffic stop. >> the real police are also looking for a man they believe stole a batch of credit card from a woman in january and is now using them at several local gas stations. they say this man caught in

camera used one of the cards at this station. two others on the same day they were reported stolen. he is a bald white man with a medium build. he was driving a light blue mini vanf. you recognize him call crime stoppers. police are out there looking for two missing teens brook rain park. police say the 14-year-old and her 15-year-old brother were last seen yesterday morning, neither made it to school. police are asking anyone who may have seen them call the police. all right let's go to annapolis. the senate hasn't voted on the bill to legalize same sex marriage. the senate president expected a vote today but at 4:00 the efforts kind of held on there for more debate. the governor has said he will sign the bill but opponents say they will fight to bring it to the voters.

over 60 degrees, even beach side, that was a very nice day for february. highs today you can see mid60s. yeah, way above average and as we come out just a little wider temperatures haven't fallen much. they will fall through the 50s through the rest of the evening. only extreme western maryland in to the 40s right now and winds right now very light, and changing. i point them out because they will ramp you through the day tomorrow, high wind watch in effect already for carroll, western in to the western half of the state and this could be extended further east into central maryland. also enhanced fire risk, not that many people do outdoor burning in february but that will be ill adviced tonight, tomorrow and into saturday. the air is very dry and now the wind wills becoming up. take a look across the area. scattered, very light rain newspaper to southern pennsylvania, some of that not touching the ground. the pattern quiet, we have a nice dry spot. that will move over us over

night. warm air will continue to surge in tomorrow. warm through midday. then by tomorrow evening, just past dinner time temperatures start to drop. cold air comes behind area of low pressure to the west. look at that warm air poised to the south. they were in the low 70s through much of the carolina's and virginia. that's what is headed our way tomorrow. just a chance for a few overnight showers, friday looks dry. maybe isolated shower or storm but a lot of the activity is just south and east of us, then the cold air flows in on saturday. overnight isolated shower but not much. as we look to tomorrow there we go, 72, near record temperatures and tomorrow night, then the winds really start to come up and turn northerly down to 38. the seven day forecast you get the idea. big shift saturday and sunday is. even those numbers seasonable for february. that's not below average and next week looking not as mild but still fairly good. >> i can hear it onto first t,
