we're hours away from the a list red carpet invasion but the party kicked off last night with the in pend spirit awards. they are across town from the oscars and this year's coast

seth right there. >> welcome to the independent spirit awards. the only award show that is completely inconsequential. nothing will come from this if you win. >> some of the night's biggest winners, chris stouffer plumber. when it was over the artest led the way with best feature and best actor. michelle williams won in my week with marilyn. the descendants took home two awards there so that is what we had last night. is that what we'll see tonight? just a few hours away. another film will win best picture. before that happens fans will feast their eyes on the a listers dressed to kill in designer duds both as they arrive and backstage in tinseltown. here is diana with the latest

roanoke, add 10 degrees. we'll be at 60 tomorrow here in baltimore. we get a cool front, a cool shot of ir and then things bounce right back. we see no end to that in sight as we wrap up february. clear across the region, clear across the east, a couple of showers in georgia but high pressure in control. dry air up and down the east locked in place. dewpoints down in the teens which is extremely dry air. even if we get mid level clouds, any chance of rain in the next day or two is slim. we'll track one system. a chance for rain as far north as maybe norfolk but this fizzles out and the chance for rain around here looks nil through tuesday and into wednesday so it is looking like a dry. scenario. we stay clear and chilly

tonight. here is the bounce back tomorrow. we're up to 60, mostly sunny. a milder south breeze. 5 to 15 miles per hour. tomorrow night the breezes let up a little bit into the overnight, down to 37 or so. mostly staying above freezing tomorrow night. >> let's check out the seven- day forecast and see how things trend. they do trend a little cooler here in to the last days of the month. maybe 46 with rain on wednesday but, again it will stay dry monday and tuesday. wednesday into thursday better chance for showers. then we begin the warming trend again back to 60 maybe by saturday. perhaps march coming in kind of like a lamb. >> you've been practicing. >> what are you wearing? or who are you wearing? >> i'm not even sure. >> you have to break it up. >> ernest boring nine model. >> who is back in town?

bell clinged on the door what to expect. it was him. the same guy that robbed her of painkillers this month. what miller wasn't expecting was this, a blast of grizzly bear strength mace right in the face. >> i grabbed the pepper spray and turned and sprayed him interface and he put his arm up and ran out the door. >> then she an a coworkers armed with a baseball bat chased him out and they are calling the pharmacist mama bear. these cars were parked in a frozen lake and fell into a bit of trouble. they were parked on lake win na bay go for a fishing competition but the weight proved to be too much. cars fell into the lake one by one and officials say the fishermen usually park on the lake but there were too many cars on the lake and some vehicles had to be, well couldn't even be towed away. they just fell in the water. look at that.

>> three people were killed after a train derailed in canada. it was heading from niagara falls toronto. 75 were on the train. they are working to pull other passengers from the wreckage. the cause of the crash is still under investigation tonight. >> we'll be right back. let's take a look outside before we go to the red carpet. we're now less than ten minutes away. 8 minutes until the red carpet.
