charging documents in the last hour we spoke to a police spokesman and learned the person of interest in this case has been in custody. he's been charged. according to the documents he is 22-year-old matthew carr charged with first and second degree murder, child abuse resulting in death, assault and reckless endangermentch the 5- year-old girl was -- endangerment. 5-year-old girl was found dead. a 911 caller reported the girl was found unconscious in the bathtub. police were investigating the death as suspicious but ruled it a homicide a neighbor says he saw police take a man into custody. >> [audio not understandable] >> somebody had handcuffs. it's a shame somebody would take a child's life. >> reporter: now at this point police are not saying if carr and the 5-year-old are related. a preliminary hearing has been set for march 27th in district court. linda so, abc2 news. teachers in ohio are

returning to the classroom at chardon high school following the deadly school shooting on moo. last night a vigil was held to honor the three students who lost their lives. one student hurt has been released from the hospital that happened yesterday. thousands of people crowded in front of a church where a vigil inside was broadcast on a screen. students gathered in school attire to remember daniel parmertor and russell king. >> he was a best friend since we were 3 or 4. >> the #-year-old suspect was in court -- the 17-year-old suspect was in court yesterday. he will stay in jail for at least 15 more days. he admitted to taking a gun to school. the shoot something raising concerns about security in schools and here in maryland. the head of security for prince george's county has ideas. michael is a former deputy police chief and says adults and students have to have exit

side of the storm due to the fact the temperatures are too warm outside. this is the big scenario here and the big storm off toward the west. and this will be moving into our area as we go into the later morning and into the afternoon that cold front will pass through later tonight. but, we have severe weather across the middle of the nation across the midwest and across the plains as well. and we can see this little bend right there and that line of thunderstorms. basically, that is an end kateor that they are getting gusty wind and strong wind with that line of storms. so, again, severe weather possible across that area. for today, no severe weather for us. maybe a rumble of thunder. that's possible. we put future trend into motion for you and see the rain moving in here around 8:00, 9:00 things will amp up. we will get a break and see another line of showers maybe of thunderstorm as well move in here going into later this evening and plenty of sunshine moving in as we head into tomorrow and also friday. let's check the traffic with angela. good morning how are the road?

>> reporter: we have a baby congratulations everybody. we had the first leap year baby born at gbmc at 2:30 but it was not here but at home. in windsor mills and they had to call 911 and the wood lawn precincts brought the baby in and i think we have the tape. this was then at 3:30 this morning inside gbmc as the stretcher was brought in and the mom was there and there was one the firefighters and the ems carrying the baby, the baby is named daniel. we will get its weight and size here in a couple minutes. mom is doing well and broke water and here comes the baby at home. her mother helped the dad was just watching when we got back in here, dad was up at the wedges strags and i said where are you -- registration and i said where are you from i said i don't know let me ask what street do we live on and i said
